John,
I finally went to Fish World yesterday afternoon with Larry, the one at Scott Road and 64th
Avenue. He said that he’s drove by that Fish World location a few times before but he’d never
been inside and always wanted to go in. We spent about forty minutes in there and when I told
Larry that my dad’s the one who takes me to Fish World whenever I have baby fish that have grown
big enough for me to trade in, Larry said that
he’d be happy to take me to Fish World
anytime I want to go.
We drove by your nieghbourhood on the way up to Fish World, we went up King George to Highway
10 and then when we were on Highway 10 passing through the light at 136th I pointed to Larry
that you’re just a couple houses in on the left. Larry then said that he didn’t realize you live
this close to me, but he already knew that you live somewhere in Panorama Ridge.
At Fish World, Larry noticed that they had a model of the Enterprise hanging from the
ceiling. The guy working at the store told Larry that the Enterprise lights up so he turned it
on for Larry and then he took a picture of it. I asked Larry to send the picture to me via
E-mail.
After Fish World, we went to Krispy Kremes for our snack. I got a blueberry cake donut with a
medium Sprite to drink and Larry got one of my favorites for his snack...a double chocolate
donut. Not the “Chocolate Fling” which have chocolate on the outside and are chocolate iced but
have white cake inside, I think he got one of the ones that are chocolate all the way
through.
I told you before that Larry said he knows of a few nice walks in the area, so after Krispy
Kremes we walked around the trails at the Watershed Park. This was the first time I had ever
been to that park, and it’s my kind of place because it has lots of trails in the bush just like
Sunnyside Acres for example. Larry told me that the Watershed Park has so many trails to choose
between that you can decide how big of a walk you want, whether you want a really long walk or
just a short one. And Larry took a few pictures yesterday in the park. If he sends those to me
as well as the picture that he took at Fish World of the Enterprise, I’ll forward them on to you
and maybe I’ll also upload them to my Flickr account when I create one.
At one point during yesterday’s visit, Larry asked me how long it’s been since the last time
I was in downtown Vancouver. I told him that it’s almost been a year so he suggested that maybe
he and I could go down there one day and maybe we could take the skytrain when we go. You know
that I haven’t been on the skytrain for a few years, but I didn’t tell Larry why because I just
didn’t know what to say to him.
Yesterday when I told Larry about the six games of “SORRY” that you and I played three
days ago (on last Sunday) and that I won four of the six games, he asked me if I have fun
when I play “SORRY” with you. I told him that I do and then he asked me if you have fun when you
play “SORRY” with me, so I said “oh yah” and then Larry said that you’re a good guy.
Remember I told you in another E-mail that I sent you a few weeks ago that my mom got me a
stick of OMBRELLE brand “Face” sunscreen for me to try because she thought that a stick might be
easier for me to use? We decided that the Coppertone spray lotion that I’ve been using for the
rest of my body just wasn’t working for us, so now we’re going back to that “Aveeno” stuff even
though it will take me longer to put on than spray lotion. The Coppertone spray stuff didn’t
seem to be working for us because first it gets on the back of my shorts at the bottom of the
legs making my shorts feel different. And also my mom remembers how big of a mess the Coppertone
spray lotion made in my bathroom when I used it the last two previous summers, so since just a
month ago when I started to use it for the first time this year she’s had me go into the shower
stall in her master bathroom and put it on in there. My mom wouldn’t have to clean up my
bathroom afterwards this way because the stuff would get washed out when she and my dad take
their showers.
And after my dad got home from work two days ago (on Monday), he told us that he got a
voicemail earlier in the day on his cell phone letting him know that he might’ve been a witness
to a car accident on April 9th 2007. That would’ve been Easter Monday that year. My dad said
that he’d test my knowledge and he asked me if I could remember where he was on Easter Monday of
2007. That was just a few weeks after my grandma (my mom’s mom) passed away and I think
that Easter Monday was the day on which my dad met in Port Coquitlam with my uncle Ted, my mom’s
brother, at the Burkeview Chapel to make funeral arrangements. Anyway, the lawyer who left the
voicemail two days ago said that he’d be in court this week on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday so
my dad can call him back on either tomorrow or Friday.
See you tomorrow at 1PM.
