John,
You said something yesterday as you were leaving about Larry has funny hours. I said to my
mom after you left that I hope he’ll be able to come on Saturday afternoons and then my mom
reminded me what Larry said before, that he works Mondays through Fridays right now even though
he said that he’d be okay with doing the occasional Saturday. My mom thinks that Larry might
want most of his weekends off because she thought that it sounded like Larry might have a family
that he likes to spend time with. When I said to my mom that I thought the original idea about
me having a second worker was so that she and my dad could get some more time to themselves on
weekends, she said about how we can’t seem to find someone who will work with me on weekends. I
then said to my mom that I don’t think I could take more than two weekdays because two days of
you is enough for me, and then my mom responded by saying the same thing that she’s been saying
since we first met Larry...that she’ll think of something. Now that was over a month ago, so
what is her idea about making this work out when she keeps saying that she’ll think of
something. I couldn’t handle three weekdays because that would mean a worker coming here two
days in a row every week, now that would be too much for me because you know that I get tired
easily. And I already said a few times in previous E-mails that Carol was available to spend her
Sunday afternoons with me...until my mom and dad messed up our relationship.
My mom walked all the way over to the mailbox and back in the wind and the cold yesterday
after you left only to find there wasn’t any mail. And I use to always walk over by myself and
get the mail until a few years ago, I can remember walking over there and doing it everyday
after I got home from school. My mom just had to open her mouth just before you left and say
that she hadn’t got the mail yet when you said about I could make a New Year's resolution to
walk over there and get the mail.
Speaking about New Year's resolutions, I remember you said during yesterday’s visit about you
assume that I’ve been having mostly good sleeps lately because I haven’t said much lately in my
E-mails about my sleeps. I already said in the last E-mail I sent you that
the only lousy sleep I had so far since doubling the dose in my current
medication was the night before Christmas Day, but there have still
been a few days now on which I sleep into the
early afternoon if I don’t have anything to get up for. I didn’t start
sleeping this late in the day until after my sleep patterns first started getting messed
up. And I’ve been finding it too hard to get up (out of bed)
since my sleep patterns first started getting messed up. I also said in
my last E-mail
that I don’t think I could make a New Year's resolution to have better sleeps because it’s not
possible to control how you’re going to sleep.
And you thought that after we found out we needed an appointment when we were at the Bank of
Montreal last week, you thought that we then stayed and waited at the bank for an hour and a
half until our appointment. We left the bank once we found out that we needed an appointment and
then we went back at 3PM, it was the appointment itself that took an hour and a half.
I also remember you saw in the paper when you were here on Monday (on the 5th of this
month) about the movie,
“Marley & Me,”
and then you said that might be a movie that either you or I would want to see. And I also
remember you showed me a picture that was in the paper of the dog from “Marley & Me” back when
you were here on Saturday Dec.27,2008. Now I already know about this movie, remember I told you
in the E-mail I sent you on Thursday Dec.18,2008 that the movie just came out and that it’s
based on the book of the same name. And I also sent you a link to the book in the same E-mail,
this is the one that my mom suggested that she put a copy in my Christmas stocking and then her
and I could read it together.
You also saw in the paper when you were here on Saturday Dec.27,2008 that
“Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”
was one of the five worst movies for 2008. Remember I told you in the E-mail I sent you on
Saturday Dec.6,2008 that my mom got this one for my dad for Christmas the time when she was at
Costco a few weeks before. She also got him for Christmas, the movie
“The Dark Knight”
on DVD. My mom saved enough points on her Save-On-More Card and we bought it at their store in
South Point last month when I went there with her (on Tuesday Dec.9,2008) and got lots of
Christmas goodies.
In addition to what you already know about that I got for Christmas, I also got
“Because of Winn-Dixie,”
“Shiloh,”
and “Shiloh 2”
all on DVD in fullscreen. I got those three movies wrapped under the tree in gift bags, I got in
my stocking James Taylor’s Christmas CD titled “James Taylor at Christmas.” I told you in the
message I sent you on Wednesday Apr.2,2008 that I haven’t listened to any of my CDs for a few
years and that I have a few CDs I got for my last few birthdays and Christmases that haven’t yet
been listened to. And guess which movie my cousin, Ben, was watching on the day after Boxing
Day (Saturday Dec.27,2008) when my mom and dad first got to my auntie Karen’s...it had to be
“the Grinch.”
