Larry,
Yesterday after we walked John’s dogs, we put the cockapoo, Taffy, into John’s car and then
he and I drove Taffy out to Dianne’s uncle John’s house in Cloverdale. While Dianne is away for
the week in Parksville with the girls who live at their other house, the dogs who live at the
other house are staying at John’s house on 136th Street including the lab, Dottie. Because
Dottie does not get along with Taffy, uncle John out in Cloverdale is looking after Taffy.
When we were playing “SORRY” yesterday back at my place after we walked the dogs, I won the
first game and I didn’t even press the “Cheers” button...I just tapped the edge of it lightly
without actually pushing the button and then somehow it wouldn’t stop going off. It had cycled
through all of the languages at least twice before it finally stopped. The same thing wouldn’t
happen to John though after we won the next two games...first he tried picking it up and shaking
it, then he tried tapping just the edge of it like I did, and then when he actually pushed the
button it finally went off but it didn’t go off more than once.
My dad took my cousin, Michael, and Michael’s son, Zachary, fishing at Buntzen Lake two days
ago on Saturday. Michael caught two fish but he had to throw the first one back because it was
too small to keep, he ended up keeping the second one that he caught because it was hooked
really good. Not long after he caught the second fish that he kept, a much smaller fish that it
had eaten earlier came out of its mouth.
Coming home, there was a big accident on the Port Mann Bridge, luckily though it happened in
the northbound lanes and was only backing up traffic heading North. My dad told us that it was
backed up well into Guildford. And my cousin, Michael, who went with my dad only got about two
or three hours of sleep on the night before. He phoned my uncle Gordon last Friday afternoon at
four o'clock to let him know that they were in Seattle and they wanted to stop there to do some
\shopping on the way back after their camping trip. They didn’t get to Gordon’s house until
12:30 or one o'clock in the morning and then my dad showed up at Seven to pick up Michael and
Zachary.
My mom noticed after lunch last week on Wednesday that her front tooth was chipped. She
phoned our dentist later that afternoon but they couldn’t get her in until five o'clock tomorrow
afternoon because they were booked solid. She told my dad to make sure that there isn’t going to
be anything tomorrow that will hold him up so that he can be home earlier instead of after 5PM.
It turns out that my dad didn’t have to go to Chilliwack last week on Wednesday, it was just
some meeting in one of the rooms inside his building.
And remember I said on Tuesday that the songs are in a different order on the Elton John
Greatest Hits compilation that I have? The CD that you brought over is the American release of
his “Greatest Hits 1970–2002”
album, my CD is
“Volume II”
from his original Greatest Hits series. I also have volumes one and 3 from the same series, but
those two are on cassette.
See you tomorrow at 1PM.
