Hi Neil,

New neighbours can be exciting! Meeting new people means the potential to make new friends and experience new things. Can you imagine if we never met anybody new or did nothing new? Life would be pretty lonely and boring wouldn’t it. We have some Korean neighbours that are very nice people.

Cabins can be a fair amount of work to keep up but can also be a lot of fun.

I was looking at this Deas Island web page and saw some very nice photos:

I think we can take even better photos!

Perhaps one day we could go to Central City Mall

http://www.centralcity.ca/main/?directory

and go to Craving for a Game (yes a game store!):

http://www.cravingforagame.ca/

I have been there in the past looking for some new games and it is VERY nice…and I need some new games…

See you today…

Larry,

Remember I told you that our next door nieghbours bought a lottery prize home near 34th Avenue and 144th Street and then they’re going to rent out their house that’s next to us. That’s not far from where your friends, Norm and Audrey, live. Anyway, the new tenants finally moved in just a couple days ago. They’re a Korean family and they lived in the U.S. for the last two or three years after they immigrated from Korea. Also when my dad chatted with them, they said that their furniture doesn’t come until tomorrow. For all I know, chances are that they could be delivering it while you’re over here. And my dad told us that it will take him a while to remember everyone’s name because all four of the people who are in that family have names that a re different than ones that we are use to.

I remember that you read out the names of quite a few realtors off of the “for sale” signs that we passed last week on our walk in my neighbourhood including Mel Smith and Karley Smith. I already told you that Mel Smith’s the one who listed our house when it was up for sale before we moved in, and Karley Smith is Mel’s daughter.

And my uncle’s mother might put her cabin at Young Lake up for sale because she’s too old to look after it. My dad went fishing and stayed up there on his holiday these past three summers. I had only been there just once myself back in 1996 and I haven’t gone there again because;

1) it’s too rural and it’s too far away from any towns or stores,
2) there’s no indoor plumbing at the cabin, and
3) it just gets too hot up there.

Also my friend, Mac, who has the heart condition can’t stay at a place like that because it would be a long way to drive him to emergency if he has any medical problems.

See you tomorrow at 1PM.

-Neil
