John,
I had a lousy sleep last night because I’ve been awake since eight o’clock this morning,
though I didn’t feel restless this time when I laid awake in bed for the next four hours. I had
a big messy toot at one point during those four hours I laid awake and got the inside of one leg
dirty on my pajama bottoms, so my mom’s washing them for tonight. Last night was the second
lousy sleep in a row for me.
The furnace guys left at around three o’clock this afternoon. They had the new furnace turned
on just before they were ready to leave and I’m happy because it sounds much quieter than the
last one. Remember I told you before that when I had the bedroom I was in for the first five
years we lived in this house that I could hear the old furnace every time when the heat came on
in the winter. Well, I stepped inside that room today when they had the new furnace going and
learned that I would have to go back out into the upstairs hall if I wanted to hear it.
