John,
I remember you said yesterday when you were here that you can stay with me longer on boxing
day if you don’t come here next Monday. Or if you do come on Monday, then you’ll still come on
boxing day but you won’t be with me as long. If my mom would’ve been okay with me not wanting
you to come here yesterday after I had three lousy sleeps in a row, then you could’ve came for
the whole day on boxing day as well as on next Monday afternoon. I had a hard enough time just
talking my mom into canceling Larry at first right after I first found out yesterday morning, I
told you before that she’s never flexible when I want to change something. In fact, I don’t want
Larry to be my worker. I want to have Carol come back after everything that I’ve been going
through lately, but if I say anything about this to my mom you know that she’ll say “it’s not
going to happen.” I feel that I should be committed to Carol because
she is a family member.
Now I said in an E-mail I sent you two weeks ago that I wanted to go with you sometime before
Christmas Day to deliver Kris’s Christmas and birthday presents to him. His birthday is just a
few days after Christmas Day, but you haven’t said anything since I mentioned it about wanting
to go with me. I did the same thing with Carol the last few years. And we’ll have to go see him
either on an evening or a weekend. He works on weekdays. My dad got some of the same round
butter shortbread cookies with red and green sprinkles that I had last year when he was at
Save-On-Foods two days ago (on Sunday afternoon), we could take those to Kris’s for the
snack. Speaking about Kris, we got a Christmas card today in the mail from his grandparents.
I told you before that I’m keeping a diary as I write the E-mails that I send to you in hopes
that Carol might read the E-mails sometime in the future, so you might get repeats of some
things after you’ve already heard them in person. I don’t want Carol to miss one detail about
everything that’s been happening in my life since our relationship ended in August of 2007. I
wish that I could share with Carol about my neighbour, Marjoree, who couldn’t find her garbage
can after the windstorm. The lids off both of our garbage cans got blown three houses down the
street, Marjoree’s can itself got blown and she didn’t see it anywhere since. And I’ll tell you
again what you heard my dad say yesterday before you left about the visitor we had two
evenings before (on Saturday evening). My mom saw paw prints in the snow on our back deck
when it was dark outside. She thought they were from another cat at first until my dad saw that
there was a raccoon out there. Izzy went crazy. My mom and dad asked me if I could see the
raccoon. I saw its tail.
Now If you want to hear more of our recent cat stories or if you want me to be your news
caster and update you about all of the news headlines, then respond to this E-mail. If you
respond, I’ll send you the pictures that my dad forwarded to me of my auntie Ann’s dogs in
Ontario. You’ll see how much snow that they got back there. My dad talked to my grandpa last
night on the phone and he said that after the snow it’s going to get warmer back there.
I remember you asked me when you were here yesterday if I received your picture that you sent
me of the dogs. Here is what I said to you in my E-mail after I received the pic:
Tuesday Dec.9,2008:
> My mom said that was a nice pic of you and the dogs with Santa, and she said that we should
show it to my dad
> after. And I see that all four dogs were in that pic, I thought you said that you had a
picture of each one of them
> taken separately? Or did you have some more taken of just each dog with Santa? That must be
Bubbles on
> Santa’s lap? And is that Prince on Dianne’s lap? Is Taffy the light coloured dog in front of
Santa and is Addy the
> big dark one on the floor next to her?
Another thing you didn’t remember was what I said here in the same previous message in which
the above excerpt is from:
Tuesday Dec.9,2008:
> My mom said that she was so mad because yesterday was the first day that the Christmas train
we wanted for
> our Lemax Christmas village went on sale at Sears, but she went to the Willowbrook Sears
yesterday
> afternoon and they were all out so my dad phoned us and said that he got one today from the
Sears near
> where his work is. That would be the one in Metrotown.
And I remember you asked me last Friday afternoon (on the 12th) when you were here if
we found the little black and white Gund brand cat inside my Christmas stocking. Remember
my mom found it before you left last Monday.
And then on that same day not long after you left was when we found the gray striped fuzz cat
toy on the fridge door handle. I do know about my mom finding the two cat toys in our Christmas
village, she found them last Friday after you left.
