John,
I had a total of eleven platies in my one ten gallon fish tank and all of them were females,
so I traded in seven of them today at Fish World and then I got two males at PetSmart. Now I
have a total of $46 worth of store credit at Fish World and I still have the two $5 gift cards
that you gave me. After Fish World, we went across the street to SUBWAY and had lunch. I had my
usual six inch turkey on white with mayonnaise, medium Sprite to drink, and two cookies. We then
went to Krispy Kremes and got two donuts for myself; one white iced (or Vanilla Dip) colour
sprinkle and one blueberry cake. My dad got one “double chocolate cake” donut for himself, this
is the first time we saw one of these at Krispy Kremes and we weren’t sure if I’d like it so my
dad left a little piece of his for me to try. It has a hole in the center so it therefore
doesn’t have filling inside. I had the blueberry cake donut today for my afternoon snack after
we got home and then after Krispy Kremes was when we went to the Strawberry Hills PetSmart and I
got my two male platies. Next, we went across the street and looked in London Drugs and Staples
at printers. Remember I told you that my Canon printer downstairs seemed to have been acting up.
We got a new printer for downstairs today when we were in Staples, an HP Photosmart D7450. After
Staples, we then drove up to “Roger’s Aquatic and Pet Supplies” on Scott Road near 82nd Avenue
where I got some frozen fish treats. When we were leaving Roger’s, a couple people followed us
out who we saw earlier today when we were at PetSmart. My dad recognized the young man because
he had a Mohawk cut with purple hair. After Roger’s, we drove to the “Fraser Aquarium” store on
Fraser Street in Vancouver at which I got two kuhli loaches and also our seventh fish tank. I
got a better 5.5 gallon fish tank with a florescent bulb where we will house the many baby
swords that I now have and my dad will put our current five gallon which is falling apart in his
workshop so that he could house his mosquito fish over the winter. The mosquito fish that he had
last year did not survive the last winter in his tubs. And we put the two kuhli loaches in my
six gallon tank upstairs in my bedroom where we already have the one kuhli loach that I have
left, so I now have a total of three.
Yesterday during my dad’s lunch break, he was going to have a look for me in the “King Ed Pet
Centre” at Kingsway and Edmonds in Burnaby. When he was parking, he saw six police cars parked
on Kingsway in front of the house that’s next to the pet store and they had one side of the
street blocked off. And then after my dad parked, he went to go inside the pet store and found
that it was closed. He didn’t know if they got robbed or what was going on. After he got back
into his car and left, he saw four more police cars plus an ambulance and a fire truck at the
intersection just one block down the street from there where there had been an accident. I asked
my dad if maybe the first six police cars that he saw were connected to the same accident and he
thinks that it was two separate incidents which had coincidently occurred at the same time.
A guy named Rod E-mailed my dad yesterday after finding his ad online for the Hillman. He
made a joke and started the message by saying “hi Mr. Hillman” and he might come here tomorrow
to have a look at the car. He lives all the way out in Hope and he said that he has eleven
Scouts,
did you ever hear about these little trucks? My uncle Jim who I talked about a few messages ago
use to have one of these when he was married to my auntie Darlene, he worked in a sawmill when
they use to live in Sooke over on the island and he drove the Scout to and from work everyday.
Anyway, Rod must live on a big lot if he has eleven of those. He said that he’s restoring three
of them and will be using eight of them for parts vehicles. And if you type “Hillman Minx” into
Google search, my dad’s ad on craigslist is the first result that comes up.

Wow that looks cool, I just wouldn’t ride in it even if it was a real car.
While dad and me were out fish shopping today, my mom was sitting in the family room at home
watching the Noon News while Chloe was outside on the deck when all of a sudden mom heard Chloe
make a growling noise. My mom went outside and saw Chloe chase the same gray striped cat over
the fence that Izzy was fighting with one day a few weeks ago while I was having my supper.
My mom made a joke yesterday and said that Izzy and Chloe are going around talking to all of
the cats in the neighbourhood and they are planning a big attack on me because I bug them so
much. She said that they even phoned up Mr. Tinkles for advice.
And we found another surprise yesterday...a green cat spring underneath the blanket that’s
over the back of our couch in the living room. We don’t know whether you or one of the cats put
that there.
See you on Monday at 1PM.
