John,
My sleep patterns are still messed up, I didn’t get up today until 3PM. Our meeting yesterday
with Ray went well. He had another person named Sarah with him and we mainly just filled in some
forms. He has a couple of different people in mind to work with me and he was hoping that
someone would be out this week to sit in for a while on one of our sessions.
My dad had an E-mail yesterday from some guy in Kamloops asking him a couple questions about
the Hillman. The guy gave his phone number in the E-mail so my dad called him after reading the
message. He’s a retired man named Dave and is looking for a project to work on.
When we were driving home after we picked up Kris last Saturday, we saw a 2008 Honda Accord.
My dad thought that it looked smaller than our 2001 Accord. Now I know that I don’t want my
mom’s next vehicle to be a Honda Accord if they’re now getting smaller every year, I wouldn’t
want her next vehicle to be smaller than our current 2001 Accord. Also, I don’t like the look of
the 2008 Accord compared to the 2001 Accord:
2008 Honda Accord
2001 Honda Accord
My mom saw this truck in the parking lot at Save-On when she was there last Monday (on
the 20th) that was jacked up really high.
The tires on it were almost as big as she is. My mom thought it looked silly but she figured
that the guy who owns it must like it.
My dad ran into my friend, Mac, and his mom at Price Smart when he stopped there on his way
home from work two days ago on Thursday.
It was my female molly that you saw was dead in my 38 gallon fish tank last Monday when you
were here. Now I just have the male and the little runty one left in that tank. The little runty
one is also a male, so now I just have left in that tank “big male and little male.” And again,
I just have one kuhli loach left in my upstairs fish tank now that my other one died last
Wednesday so it’s time for me to get out fish shopping with my dad again.
Remember that my dad put a second higher fence around our pond. Yesterday my mom saw that the
heron had gotten over both fences and was standing on the edge of the pond. She said that my dad
will have to put the net over the pond in order to keep the heron out
My mom was complaining yesterday afternoon while she had the deck door open waiting for Izzy
to come inside because she was letting all the cold air in. She made a joke about it and said
that we should have a little cat door installed so that we won’t have to leave the deck door
open for her, but she’d bring in dead birds and then hide them all over the house.
Speaking about cats, my mom went on the SPCA’s website yesterday and saw that it’s now more
expensive to adopt a kitten than it was when we adopted Izzy.
My mom read in the paper sometime within the last few days that male cats are suppose to be
more \affectionate than females. I tried to tell my mom that one time a couple years ago after I
read it somewhere myself, but she then looked online and couldn’t see that there was much
difference between male and female cats.
And one other note while we’re on the subject about cats. When you were here last Monday, we
were looking at those cat pictures on The Province website. Do you remember me reading out loud
that
this one
was a Main Coon cat? That was the breed of cat we chose when you and I were playing the Catz
game for the last few weeks before Christmas, do you remember Telly? And then the cat
two pages after that one
is the same colour as Summer, a champagne coloured cat. Summer was Carol’s cat who she had to
put down a week before she adopted Yari, remember I told you that Summer lived to only five
years of age. I wish that I could tell Carol the story about Izzy fighting with the gray striped
cat last Wednesday when I was having my supper.
Also when you were here last Monday, I remember you asked me if I could remember the titles
of any of the books that I had to read with my class when I was in school. Here are some of the
books that I read, and as far as I know all of these were part of the curriculum at the time
when I was going to school:
• Banner in the Sky - grade seven
• Cowboys Don't Cry - grade eight
• Gentle Ben - grade five
• Hatchet - grade seven
• It's Like This, Cat - grade seven
• On My Honor - grade five
• Singularity - grade nine
• To Kill a Mockingbird - grade ten
And I remember you said that they have books available in large print, well I’ll tell you
that they would give me my own large print copy of some of the above books at the time when I
read them. I also had my own large print textbooks when I went to school.
You said that you might dress up when you come to my place on Halloween night. Carol never
dressed up when she handed out candy with me. And I myself use to dress up as Count Dracula
every year when I handed candy, but I haven’t dressed up for a long time. Maybe I could dress
The Count as a pirate in one of my funny images, I got this idea after I heard you say that you
thought your pirate accent sounds like The Count.
Did you check out
“The Muppet Whatnot Workshop”
yet at FAO.com? Create your own muppets from a selection of bodies, eyes, noses, hairstyles, and
costumes. You don’t have to purchase the muppet that you create, just create one for fun. Here’s
a pic of the green muppet that I created there:
And just a reminder that even though you are coming on Halloween night this Friday,
you can still come on Thursday from 1PM to 4:30 seeing how I don’t want
you on the next Thursday because that’s when I have my dentist appointment. Again, the other
half of that day’s visit could be made up when we have our Chinese dinner on Monday the
10th.
See you on Monday at 1PM.
