John,
After you left, my mom saw at the top of yesterday’s five o’clock news about the shooting at
Oakridge Mall. They figure it was gang related, the person who was killed was well known to
police. I wish I could share the story with Carol about the bomb scare that happened at
Semiahmoo Secondary last Monday even though she doesn’t work at that school. She works at Earl
Marriott Secondary, but she knows a lot of people who work and go to school at Semiahmoo.
My mom returned my cousin Jenny’s call yesterday after you left. Her big news was that she
now wears contact lenses.
Remember I told you that my cousin, David who passed away almost three years ago, knew Doug
from “Doug & the Slugs!” My mom reminded me about the time when David was hired to do security
for one of Doug’s daughter’s birthday parties and a lot of bad people who weren’t invited were
trying to get in, they ended up having to call the police to come help out.
My most favorite movies would have to be
“RAT RACE,”
“Muppets from Space,”
and like you said
“the Mr. Bean movie.”
I also use to be a big fan of
“The Lion King,”
but I gave away all of my animated Disney movies that I had on VHS after my dad said that I’m
too old to be watching cartoons. And speaking about RAT RACE, that was the first VHS tape that I
captured with my breakout box. That movie isn’t sold in fullscreen on DVD and is only available
in widescreen so I rented the VHS, captured it, and then burned it onto a DVD. And now I have
something that nobody else has, a fullscreen RAT RACE on DVD. When I first got my breakout box
almost five years ago, I had looked forward to putting a lot more movies on DVD in fullscreen
that are only available on DVD in widescreen but you previously read that I haven’t watched or
copied any movies since early 2005.
We probably won’t buy candy to give out this year at Hallloween seeing how I still have KitKat bars and small boxes of Smarties left over from Halloween last year, we’ll probably give out either bags of chips or little packages of some kind of gummies. And I’ll give you a month’s notice that I have a dentist appointment coming up on November 6th which is a Thursday, so would you also be able to come on the Friday again that week instead of Thursday? Or you could come on Saturday the 8th if Friday isn’t good for you.
When my dad phoned us last night, he said that the zoom on his camera isn’t working. Therefore he might have to take his camera in to be cleaned, and this could be why those last few videos that you saw came out so small.
