John,
We found five surprises yesterday within only a half hour after you left, one of which I took
a picture of and included in the ZIP file at
http://www.stuntsillusion.com/download/tempfile1.zip
My dad had time yesterday before you came to drive around and take the pictures of the two
houses I wanted pictures of that are on the other side of 140th Street. Right now I can’t send
you all of the pictures he took because of the problem I keep telling you about that I’m having
on my downstairs desktop computer with ZIPing large file sizes. Notice again on the one house,
the one that’s also included in the above ZIP file, that the garage is not detached from the
rest of the house but a good thing in my opinion is that there is no upstairs on top of the
garage. And notice a weather vane on the roof of the same garage BTW. Now take a look at how the
other house currently looks in real life:
And here’s the house reversed, this time with the garage on the opposite side of course:
Here is another shot of the house in reverse, this time with a green circle around the window
that would be my bedroom:
Now if only I could find a house just like that one, but in reverse, and with my bedroom on
the North side and the garage on the West side. I said in the previous E-mail that maybe I don’t
need to be specific as to whether or not my bedroom is on the North side, again just as long as I
have curtains and blinds. And in addition to those two things, if I’m gunna have a screen over
the outside of my window just like on all four of the upstairs bedrooms at where I live now. I
think it might be possible to get a window screen tinted dark.
I found this website
just within the last few weeks, on which they have a featured house plan every week. I’ll give
you this week’s featured plan and also the featured plans for the last few weeks in the ZIP file
at

4.jpg - Problem with the house featured in this image. First off, I guess that
BEDROOM #2 would be my room and I could have the house built so that room’s window faces North,
but where would I put my computer room? As long as there’s room in the kitchen to put a table
and chairs, all I can think of would be to close off the dining room and then convert it to like
a den.
559.jpg or 559big.bmp - Now if I lived at this house, then I guess I’d want BEDROOM #3’s window
to face North and the other one (BEDROOM #2) could be my computer room. If I were to
instead take BEDROOM #2 and have its window face North, then I’d be right next to the MASTER
BEDROOM.
336.jpg - If this house’s LIVING ROOM is on the North side, I could possibly get rid of the one
SUNDECK altogether so that one or both of the smaller bedrooms could be made bigger. I’d only
keep the back SUNDECK which is accessed via the kitchen.
384.jpg - This house might be okay if BEDROOMs number 2 and 3 are on the North side and the
living room on the East side, I’d take BEDROOM #2 to be my room and the other one to be my
computer room. I guess it shouldn’t matter whether my living room is on the North or the East
side seeing how I’d only be in there in the evening watching TV, only the morning it’s bright to
the East.
Remember when we talked yesterday about Dianne building the walkway at your place I then said
that I wouldn’t mind a walkway in our front yard. Here’s a plan that I did in the spring of
last year (Spring 2007) on which I have a curved walkway picked out. And in one of the
previous E-mails that I sent to you, remember I was talking about the landscape ties around the
bottom of the trees and that I prefer gray stone to either rock or brown wood. The big #1 that
you see on my plan is just to the bottom-right of the tree that’s currently in our front yard
for real where on my plan you’ll see that I added some landscape ties around the bottom of it.
My dad forwarded me a picture yesterday a picture that my grandma E-mailed to him and was
taken at my cousin, Jeff’s, wedding just this last weekend. I’ll forward it on to you as soon I
get through sending this message. My dad forwarded it to me from his E-mail address which again
is rsmcrae@telus.net and the subject will be
“Fw: Jeff's wedding” without the quotes (and
without the bold red). Let
me know as soon as you get the forwarded E-mail whether or not you got the pic. And see that
Marshall’s older brother, Ben, is in this picture at the alter, my dad thinks that he was
probably the Ringbearer.
And there are still more images for today... I now remember the main reason why I posted
those pics of Elmo at the bottom of the last E-mail, Tickle Me Elbow. Here, let’s have another
go:
Meet Tickle Me Elbow!
Maybe the blue guy’s Elmo’s brother!
Yesterday when they had the Snowbirds on Global’s noon news, my mom said that she thought
whoever was filming from Global took better footage than what my dad took of the Snowbirds. I
should’ve taped their footage, capture it using my breakout box, and then upload their footage
to YouTube instead of my dad’s. I wonder if the video that they took might be available for
download somewhere on Global’s
website, I know that they post some of their newscasts on
there.
And speaking about videos, I thought maybe for my next YouTube video we could drive to
Sunnyside Acres and take my Sony camera this time so that we could get a good video of the
entire Douglas-fir trail (except maybe we don’t have to film during the few rough/narrow spots)
as well as a still pic or a short video of the “creek” that we walk by not long after we first
go in. You call it a “creek,” I say that it’s a “bog” because I’m sure that it’s not wet there
all the time and that I think they would have done a much better job than that if they were to
have put a creek in there since the last time I was at that park.
Now if we were to take a good video of the Douglas-fir trail, we could go single file and you
could walk behind me and carry my camera bag while I film. We could call our video ”Neil and
John go on an adventure.” If our video ends up being more than 10 minutes long and if I want to
upload it to YouTube, then I could split the video into two parts; ”Neil and John go on an
adventure part 1 of 2” for example. We could get rid of the sound once our video has been
downloaded and we could then add our own background music, would you have a good song in mind
for this! And I couldn’t believe that they actually gave a name to a side trail, I’m also
surprised that the side trail appears on the park’s map.
That viewer that you saw on the desk behind us in our computer room is called a CCTV
(Closed-circuit television). And the one that I have is an old one that my school was going to
trash at the time when they gave it to me. I also remember you asked me if I still use it, I had
it turned on just a couple days ago when I had the newspaper under it and was copying into my
E-mail the description for the listing of that house in Grandview Heights.
I finished off the Neapolitan ice cream last night when I had my evening snack, I had it in a
dish with bananas. Speaking about food, remember in the last E-mail I told you that the Safeway
salads now come in different shaped containers. I noticed when I had my salad two nights
ago (for supper on Sunday) that the lettuce has changed just a little bit in the chicken
cobb; the chicken cobb salad now has some green leaf-shaped lettuce and also a few purple pieces
of lettuce. I think that I prefer the old style of Safeway salads.
