John,
My mom saw the weather on today’s Noon News and it looks like it’s gunna rain tomorrow so
it’s a good thing that I got out for a walk with her this afternoon incase you and I don’t make
it out tomorrow. I took her across 140th Street and showed her the fountain. We only got two
pictures of it, we couldn’t get anymore pictures after that because the cell phone camera
wouldn’t take any more and we didn’t know how to fix it. I hope that my mom could walk back over
there and get pictures of those two houses on a sunny day when my dad can be there to help her
and while you’re with me, and I will send you the pictures that we did take sometime this coming
weekend. Just as my mom and me were leaving for our walk today, we saw the HandyDART leaving
Muriel’s house next door and it looked like Muriel was the only person on it. We don’t know
whether we passed three HandyDARTs on our walk today or if we passed the same one three times
today. The second time it went by us on 140th Street when we were walking North on our way to
the fountain, the HandyDART went the other way (East on my street) once it left Muriel’s
as we were leaving to go for our walk. And then the third time was just after we crossed 140th
Street on our way home. If you look at this map, the green area indicates where we were just
after we crossed 140th on our way home and then saw the HandyDART come towards us. I don’t
remember exactly where it came from, I think it was coming Southbound down 140A Street and then
turned right onto 18th Avenue to head out to 140th. And the yellow area indicates the second
spot where we saw the HandyDART today:
Also where the yellow is on the above map, we saw a
neat little blue Honda SUV parked there just before
we turned and got to the fountain. I don’t know which kind of Honda it was though, but I thought
it looked like a nice little vehicle for my dad to have. I should’ve taken a picture of that
too.
Another thing that I remembered you told me sometime within our last few visits was about the
“McRae” street in Vancouver near where your mom lives. There’s also a McRae Street in
Mission...only a few blocks away from the street that my grandparents (my dad’s parents)
lived on when they lived in Mission.
I found your glow in the dark ping pong ball this morning hidden in the lamp in the family
room. When I called my mom over so that I could show her that surprise, she immediately saw the
green spring that had been hidden for a long time.
My mom told me about the top story on today’s Noon News, about a rockslide that closed the
road to Whistler. They didn’t know why it happened.
My mom’s “styleathome” magazine came in the mail today, and in it is yet another image for us to scan tomorrow...guess how many puppies are in it!
See you tomorrow at 1PM.
