John,
I was hoping that I’d hear from you, but I’ll still let you know that my mom finally found
the glow in the dark ping pong ball inside the candleholder. She also found yesterday morning
the yellow spring on top of the calendar in our kitchen. Now did we find all of your
surprises!
I’m thinking we’d go for a walk around the big block in my neighbourhood before you and I
have our snack time tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully it won’t rain tomorrow if the forecast
changes, my mom told me that she saw the weather and Tuesday’s suppose to be the only rainy day
this week. And if you haven’t looked yet at the
Sesame Street appearances
on the Simpsons or the
13 Kermits,
maybe we could look at them tomorrow afternoon at my place after we have our snack and before we
start our cropping? In addition to that small picture on Chloe’s vet appointment card, my mom
found some more dog pictures that came in one of yesterday’s flyers and that she’ll cut out for
us for tomorrow. I hope to go for a walk with my mom one afternoon this coming week to the other
side of 140th Street and take pictures of the fountain and of those two houses that I told you I
wanted to take pictures of all using the camera on her cell phone.
Other stuff that my mom told me about she saw on the TV news and read in the paper:
• Wednesday July 23,2008: They had a story on the 5:30 news (Global National)
about inflation, the price for most things keeps going up. They said in the story that one of
the few things that is coming down in price are computers.
• Wednesday July 23,2008 - evening: My mom was clicking through the channels and saw that
Tamara Taggart’s gunna have another baby.
• My mom read in Friday’s edition of the Surrey Now two days ago that they’re
going to open a Fatburger in South Surrey, it didn’t say when. I had been wanting to try them
for the last few years, but the nearest one to us right now is in Langley and you know that we
don’t get out that way as often. And it said that the South Surrey one’s going to be at 152nd
Street and 17th Avenue, both my mom and I were wondering if it might be going in where that
Wendy's I told you I liked use to be.
• And my mom read this morning in “The Province newspaper” about a 44 year old lady in
Abbotsford who just had her 18th baby.
• My dad read in today’s edition of the Peace Arch newspaper that the Snowbirds will be
flying over White Rock Beach this Wednesday. He said that we’ll probably be able to see some of
it from where we live.
Yesterday, my dad put one of my female swords who’s looking big in the breeding cage on the
five gallon fish tank.
Not long before I had my snack at 9PM yesterday evening, my dad looked out and saw Izzy
sitting on Marvin and Marjoree’s back deck next door. She was stretched out laying on the
concrete in their backyard.
My friend, Mac, phoned me last night to let me know that he had an “entertaining time” on his
trip which he came back from the day before (on Friday) and on which he got; sunburns,
mosquito bites, and a bee sting. It was in the message I sent you on Wednesday Apr.9,2008 when I
told you about the times when I got stung. Now Mac also said that he’ll be going away again,
this time with his mom, for a week sometime in August. And now that we know he’s back from his
camping trip with his brother, maybe sometime within the next few weeks or so would be a good
time to invite Mac over to my place one afternoon when you’re here and we could watch YouTube
videos.
And my other friend, Kris, phoned me earlier this afternoon. You know that I hadn’t talked to
him for almost a month.
My dad got to rent a brand new (most likely a 2008) Chrysler Sebring convertible last
Wednesday when he was in Kamloops. They gave it to him for the price it would cost just to rent
an ordinary midsize car seeing how convertibles were all they had available at that time for
midsize cars, my dad told me that he would’ve had to pay more if he had specifically asked for a
convertible.
They told my dad that his prescription would be ready in 15 minutes when he dropped it off at
Save-On last Thursday (on the 24th) after he left the clinic, and it was during those 15 minutes
when he got those pieces of black licorice from the bulk section.
The strap on my watch broke again two afternoons ago (on Friday), I was sitting on the
couch just before I sent you
my previous message
when I pressed my arm too hard against the arm of the couch and my strap broke. My dad then went
out to his workshop where he has lots of pins, he just didn’t have a pin that was the right size
so he took my watch back to that place in Semiahmoo Mall the next day (yesterday afternoon) and
they fixed the strap.
Here is a picture of Wallace and Gromit that was featured two days ago (on Friday) on
the myTELUS.com website,
I watched these three videos of them many years ago; A Grand Day Out (1989),The Wrong Trousers
(1993), and A Close Shave (1995). I didn’t see their movie
“The Curse of the Were-Rabbit,”
it’s on my list that I’ve been making (since late 2004/early 2005 when I stopped watching
movies with my mom) of movies that I want to rent and copy.
Speaking about pictures, what did you think about the blue
Kermit one that was in my previous message? And did you see the other
picture of my new baby cousin yet? If you haven’t it’s still available at
http://www.stuntsillusion.com/download/tempfile1.zip
See you tomorrow at 1PM.
