I got a dessert after my Chinese dinner today, my mom went back to
the Ocean Park Safeway in the afternoon today and the Canada Day donuts that they had in today
looked better than the ones that my mom saw there yesterday so she got me two from the bulk
section. They didn’t have the long johns, so she got me two round ones and I had one of those
for dessert today after my Chinese dinner. The only other Canada Day dessert that my mom saw
today at Safeway were Canada Day cupcakes, but they only came in packs of twelve and that
would’ve been too many for me. My mom was at the Peninsula Village Safeway this afternoon before
she went back to the one in Ocean Park, the Peninsula one didn’t have any Canada Day desserts.
And on my dad’s way home from the valley this morning he stopped at the Safeway Abbotsford
around the corner from my grandparents’ apartment building, on Fraser Way next to Staples, but
they didn’t have any Canada Day desserts either.
Because I didn’t get either a cake or cupcakes for Canada Day, I suggested to my mom and dad
that another idea for something that we could do if we get together with my friend, Mac, is go
to one of the White Spot locations for an afternoon snack so that I could have a piece of the
Chocolate Passion Cake. If we decide to do this either later this week or at the beginning of
the next week and my dad’s able to take a day off work to take us out, then depending on which
day is good for Mac and which day my dad can take off work I might end up having to reschedule
with you our visit for this coming Thursday (July the 3rd). And now a few other notes
about meals and snacks that I’ve had within the last few days:
• Saturday June 28,2008 - evening snack: I opened that bottle of 7UP that we
brought back from my friend, Kris’s, and I had some of that to drink with Old Dutch Rip-L potato
chips and Nalley brand "Bacon & Onion" dip.
• Friday June 27,2008: I was going to have some ANNA’s brand mint chocolate cookies for my
dessert after lunch and whenever I have those you know that I usually have three instead of two
because they’re small, but there were only four left in the box and we didn’t know until I went
to have some for my dessert that two of them were broken ones. My mom gave me the last two whole
ones and then she opened another box of the After Eight mints that Mac got me for Christmas, I
had the first two mints that were in that box after I had my cookies.
• Sunday June 29,2008 - evening snack: And for my evening snack in a little more than an
hour from now (at 9PM), I plan to have the rest of those cherry gummies that I told you my
mom got me from the bulk section at Save-On Foods so I hope that she will go to Save-On tomorrow
either in the morning or after you leave and buy me some more. I also have a few other things
that I want her to pick up for me when she’s there including some Lofthouse brand moist sugar
cookies now that I have finished the ANNA’s ones, hopefully they’ll have in one of the flavours
that I told you I wanted to try; either the strawberry iced ones or the white iced ones that
have red sprinkles. And one of the times when my mom was in Save-On just within the last few
weeks, she saw that they had small bags of polar ice chocolates; both milk and dark chocolate.
This is the first time in many years when any of us have saw polar ice chocolates in the store
at any time of the year other than Christmas, I hope my mom will get me a bag of milk chocolate
ones and a bag of dark ones.
Remember in the message that I sent you last Tuesday (on the 24th) I told you that my
grandma had some pictures for us that she took at the engagement party. My dad didn’t remember
to take one of our memory sticks with him when he went out to the valley this morning to see my
grandparents so he therefore couldn’t bring back the pictures, hopefully he’ll stop in and get
them if he goes out there one day later this week to take out to my auntie Karen the two of my
betas that I told you she wanted. My dad was going to take the betas out there today, but nobody
answered when he phoned Karen to see if they were going to be home. When my dad told my
grandparents this morning that he couldn’t reach her, they then said to him that this might be
the weekend on which Karen and her husband, my uncle Robert, had planned to go up to Robert’s
mother’s cabin and help their son, my cousin Jeff, put a new roof on the cabin.
My grandparents also let my dad know when he was out there this morning that my grandma has
an appointment in Mission at 10AM tomorrow morning so they won’t be at my place until sometime
around noon. My dad will bring them back after you show up, my mom will then join them and
they’ll drive off to a nice air conditioned casino where they’ll spend the afternoon. My mom
thought that it will probably be too warm for you and I to go for a walk tomorrow afternoon, so
if we’re not gunna have much to chat about before snack time at 2PM then I guess we could start
our cropping before then. I remembered to tell my mom and she cut out that picture in the paper
for us to scan of two more dogs wearing sunglasses.
I spent the afternoon today downloading everything off of my camera that I told you I haven’t
downloaded since Christmas including more than 50MB of still pictures that were taken at last
Christmas as well as numerous pictures that I have taken between then and now of surprises that
you made for us. With those adding up to a total of more than 50MB, I might end up burning those
onto a CD to give to you in person this time instead of ZIPing them up and sending them to you,
especially if I do end up scanning even more for you later. And also maybe I’ll have my Flickr
account going soon with all of those images that I took of your surprises, I wonder if there are
many people out there who could do some of those things that you did. I thought that some of
them were pretty unbelievable. And I also told you that I might post that video on YouTube that
my dad took during that storm we had a few weeks ago.
And at around a quarter after seven this evening, mp parents were standing at our deck doors
in the family room and they could see Izzy sitting on the fence between our backyard and our
neighbour, Marvin’s, place. Marvin and Marjoree were out in their backyard and Izzy was sitting
on the fence watching them, my dad said that Izzy was quote “eavesdropping” on their
conversation but we didn’t know if they could see her. And all that we could see of Izzy was her
back and her tail.
