John,
First off, I don’t know why every time I bring back an excerpt about something that has
happened in the past you think that the particular issue I’m showing you again from the past
still bugs me today. I know that what happened in the past is in the
past and that we therefore can’t change the past, but if I didn’t
include that excerpt from the situation three months ago you might’ve forgot about that time and
assumed that this situation just last week was the first time when something like this has
happened when my dad would keep saying one thing over and over after I would get it the first
time he said it. If I didn’t write to you now about this situation that took place, one even
just last week when my dad kept saying quote “I don’t know” and instead I waited until say
another three months from now when yet another situation like this occurs, I know that this
situation that took place just last week will be in the past by then but if I don’t address
these things I won’t learn. Maybe I should no longer include excerpts from previous messages
that I’ve sent you if this is making you think that I’m not letting things go. And I wasn’t
convinced when you said to me before that you think my parents would know how to trigger me if
they wanted to do so.
Also, I remember you said about how I got it where I live now so that I don’t have to do
anything chorewise. I will tell you that I think Carol is the only person who could replace my
parents, I know that she might not exactly replace them or replace them 100% but what I
meant was I think that she’d do the best job of trying to keep things the same as they are in
the situation in which I’m living now. If just somehow I get to live with Carol, maybe for all
you know she might not have to do as much work for me compared to the amount that my mom
currently does. Another thing I said in a previous E-mail (this one around four months
ago) was about the fact that I would stock up on blue shirts and black pants if I could live
with Carol so that she won’t be doing laundry anymore often than what the average person
requires, but see that I just told you about this again (for the second time) instead of
putting here the excerpt containing that portion from the message four months ago where I wrote
this the first time. This one might’ve been something that I wrote about in the past, but
you should see that particular “something” is one thing that my future could depend on. And
I did appreciate that my mom tried to fix my pajama
bottoms.
Remember that my friend, Kris’s, new apartment doesn’t have a washer and dryer, he has to
take his laundry upstairs to the laundry room which he has to share with the rest of his
building. My grandparents have their own washing machine and dryer inside their apartment in
Abbotsford, but their apartment doesn’t have a laundry room. Instead it has a “laundry space” if
you know what I mean in which a washing machine is stacked on top of a dryer in a small
closet-like area. My other friend, Mac’s, house has not one but two laundry spaces, one on each
floor. And one of these laundry spaces would be good in any suite where Carol and I might live
in the future seeing how it would take up a lot less space, but that can go on Carol’s side of
the suite so that it can’t be heard from the TV/living room or from my computer room etc.
Also remember when we went and saw Kris at his new place a few weeks ago, you asked him if
he’s ever bothered when hearing the people in the apartment above his move around seeing how
it’s poorly insulated between the floors in his building. I’d rather live in a suite in
someone’s house if I could have my way instead of an apartment because I wouldn’t have council
to boss me around, my grandparents almost sold their apartment and moved to another building a
few years ago because they were getting fed up with the strata at their current building. And
you already know that I’d prefer my bedroom not to be on top of the garage after my experience
in this house, the room next to my current bedroom which is now our upstairs computer room was
my bedroom for the first five years after we moved in and then it became my cousin, David’s,
room when he came to live with us for a few years. The reason why I wanted the other room fixed
up for me instead of the one that I was already in was because it’s right on top of the garage
and I would rather not sleep on top of the garage because;
1) you already know that I want some kind of electric fireplace in the bedroom that I’m in now
seeing how any room that’s on top of a garage can be cold during the winter and
2) our furnace in the garage is right underneath our upstairs computer room and I could hear it
every time the heat came on in the winter.
Now on the other hand say for example if the garage is on the southwest corner while my bedroom
is on the northeast but my suite only takes up half of my house so I therefore have tenants
living on the other floor, then I wouldn’t want their living room to be underneath my bedroom
incase they would be ones to stay up late and watch TV unless I wonder if having lots of
insulation between the floors could help fix this. I would plan to have quiet tenants no matter
what and I know to always check references before allowing anyone to move in. Or if insulation
won’t completely drown the sound between floors, then I also don’t know if I’d want my computer
room to be on top of their living room seeing how I wouldn’t want to hear their TV when I’m
doing stuff on the computer. If whoever I have for tenants do turn out to stay up late watching
TV and they have a TV in their bedroom, then I obviously wouldn’t want their bedroom under my
bedroom. Or if they’re the complete opposite who go to bed early and/or sleep in really late, I
might not want my computer room to be on top of their bedroom incase I play music or make any
noises when I’m on the computer. These are all things that I have to think about.
And you thought that sprinklers aren’t something that a house would have inside and that only
apartments would have them. Even though it’s not mandatory now, my mom said that they’re talking
about making it mandatory to have sprinklers installed in every new house and I myself don’t
like that idea.
My mom thought that the reason why the number for Kris’s voice box isn’t the same as his
apartment number might be just for extra security so that people who don’t know them don’t know
which apartment they’re in. And I wonder if Carol’s apartment building has a voice box, too bad
I didn’t get to go there and find out.
When we were driving on our way to Kris’s two weeks ago, remember we passed an “express”
McDonald's near 200th Street and 40th Avenue. I told you before that we use to have an express
McDonald's in Peninsula Village. Another thing I remember we talked about when we were at Kris’s
was about the fact that I don’t get to have my Mint Chocolate Chip shakes as often after the
Baskin-Robbins in Peninsula Village closed last summer, and then you said that another place we
can get Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream is from the ice cream parlor at Crescent Beach. I also
remember you suggested that you and I could go there one day, get my ice cream in a waffle cone,
and sit on the bench and look at the ocean while we have our ice cream. I would’ve rather done
something like this with Carol, and we were going to on the day when we had the altercation last
August that ended our relationship. After she lashed out at me and after I kept saying out loud
quote “I want to kill myself,” she said that we could still go out to Crescent Beach and eat our
ice cream in the car but at this point I no longer wanted to go out and didn’t want to go out
for the rest of the day. I’d rather go to Crescent Beach and have ice cream when I can enjoy
sitting on the bench and having it instead of having to eat it in the car. So I told Carol that
I didn’t want to go out and then she said “that’s okay” but she still wouldn’t let me phone my
parents after she said “okay” to me not wanting to go out for the rest of that day, and we had
planned to go to Safeway and pick up Chinese food for our supper if things didn’t go downhill
that day. I don’t know how I would’ve got supper if I didn’t want to go out anywhere for the
rest of that day and if Carol wouldn’t let me phone for my parents to come home.
When my mom walked over to get the mail yesterday afternoon, she saw that there isn’t a
license plate on Logan’s car, so maybe he isn’t driving again right now. So this must be why I
haven’t been woken up to his car starting for a while now.
Cat stories for the last few days:
• Izzy spent a long time outside this morning until she came inside carrying a
big beat up feather in her mouth which she dropped in front of Chloe and then she turned around
and went running back outside. Chloe then sniffed the feather and was playing with it, my mom
threw it out later.
• You already know that Izzy wanted outside as soon as my dad got up two days ago (on
Monday morning) before he left to go to work. It’s unusual that she wants to go out that early,
I guess she wanted out early that day because we haven’t had such a nice day for a while.
Now here’s an excerpt that you said in person you wanted to read again, and this chocolate
cat is not my neighours’ cat, Meika:
> • Wednesday June 4,2008: When my dad first got up at 6AM and before he left for work, he
opened the
> curtains in the dining room when he thought he saw Izzy sitting on the back fence and wondered
“what’s
> Izzy doing out there.” He then looked closer and saw that this cat looked just like Izzy but
this one was
> more of a chocolaty colour. And that’s the same spot on the back fence where we usually see
Izzy
> sitting when she’s eyeing up the birds.
My mom told me that they had a big black cat named “Princess” on Adopt-A-Pet at the end of
yesterday’s Noon News. They said that she’s ten years old.
My mom saw when she was at the South Point Save-On two days ago when you were with me that
they now have small bags of Doritos, they have snack size ones (which would be about the
same size as those bags of Thinsations that I have for my afternoon snack some days) in which
the chips inside might be a bit small and they also have smaller bags of the regular size
Doritos. And here is what my mom actually bought at Save-On when she was out that same day:
-cherry gummies from the bulk section which I had some of for my evening snack yesterday, I had
about half of them last night and there’s now enough left in the bag for just one more snack.
-two bottles of Save-On brand cranberry juice, one of “Cranberry Raspberry” and one of
“Cranberry & Concord Grape.” And these are basically the same as the Ocean’s Spray
“Cran•Raspberry” and CranGrape except it’s Save-On’s brand.
-and a RESERS RASPBERRY PARFAIT jellied salad as well as a potato salad from their deli section.
I had some of both salads yesterday for my supper.
My dad’s taking tomorrow afternoon off work and I’m hoping that he and my mom will go to
Metrotown and see if the Sears store there has the T-shirts that I’m looking for. If they don’t
have the right T-shirts, I hope that my dad will stop at the Sears location in Sevenoaks Mall on
his way out to Jeff’s engagement party on Saturday. Sevenoaks is the mall in Abbotsford and my
grandparents’ apartment complex is just a few blocks North of there. And speaking about Jeff’s
engagement party coming up in the evening on Saturday, my dad phoned my auntie Karen two
nights ago (on Monday evening) because he didn’t know whether or not he’s suppose to bring a
present to Jeff’s party. When he told her that I plan to go with him earlier that same day (on
Saturday morning) and trade in my betas for a store credit, she told him to save two of my male
betas for her so I said to my dad a few minutes later once he got off the phone that he could
save two and then take them out to her one day. I also plan to save two of the good looking
females for myself seeing how the mom died a few weeks ago, this way I’ll be able to breed
again.
And my dad phoned my uncle Gordon yesterday evening to offer his condolences after I told you
his wife’s, my auntie Sue’s, brother Danny passed away. He’s the one who I told you had his own
computer store. They spent the last few days cleaning out Danny’s apartment (I don’t know
where he lives) and while they were doing so they came across all sorts of computer equipment
including old hard drives, 5.25 inch floppy disks, etc. Do you remember 5.25 inch floppy disks
from back in those days? I no longer have a slot for 5.25 inch disks in any of my computers,
they said that all of the stuff Danny had was junky and none of it works anymore.
I called my friend, Mac, yesterday afternoon. I got him on his cell phone while he was out in
the community and he couldn’t talk to me right away so he said he’d call me back “in a few
minutes,” he didn’t call me back until twenty minutes later when I was in the washroom so
when my mom answered the phone she said to him that I “should be out in a minute.” When I came
out a minute later, she said that I could pick up the downstairs phone and then she’d hang up
the one upstairs so I picked up and said “hello” but I got a buzzing sound. I guess Mac didn’t
wait for me so I hung up and called his cell number again, this time he couldn’t talk to
me again because he was eating his lunch at SUBWAY and there was a loud fan going in the
background making it hard for him to hear me. When he called me back again, this time I finally
got to ask him “what’s new with him.” He said that his mom still wants a new car but she can’t
make up her mind about what kind of car so I told him that I hope my mom will get a new car
sometime within the next few years, and Mac who also thinks that our 2001 Honda is still good
said that a hybrid car will use just as much gas as our 2001 Honda. Is that true? I thought you
agreed with me when I said before that newer hybrid cars should be better for the environment
than my mom’s current car. I also told Mac what’s new with me including the fact that you shaved
your headimg SRC="http://www.stuntsillusion.com/forum/images/smilies/lol.gif">. When I told Mac
that we read about their plans to redevelop Semiahmoo Mall, he said that he didn’t know anything
about that. Mac thinks that what they’re going to do is add a second story on top of the mall.
I asked him where he heard about that and then he told me to look around for these big green
signs next time I’m around that area, he said that these green signs say what stores are going
in the new section of mall. This is the first I heard about anything like this though I do
remember that at one time they talked about building a tower on top of Semiahmoo Mall but I
didn’t think that it was gunna be stores, I thought that they were talking about an apartment
tower until just recently when they started to talk about instead getting rid of the mall
altogether. I myself am against getting rid of the mall BTW, Mac agreed with me by saying that
he’d rather see them expand it. And Mac asked me if we have any plans to go away this summer.
You obviously know what the answer is seeing how you already know that I haven’t gone away
anywhere with my parents for four years. When I said to him that we aren’t going anywhere this
summer, he responded by saying quote “nowhere.”
When we were in Dairy Queen two afternoons ago, remember they were playing my favorite
radio station (QM/FM) and we heard the Sheryl Crow duet “Picture.” That song’s on the CD
that I burnt for my mom a few years ago, the CD which I burned for her is “The Very Best of
Sheryl Crow” which was released in 2003 and here’s its track listing:
1. All I Wanna Do
2. Soak Up The Sun
3. My Favorite Mistake
4. The First Cut Is The Deepest
5. Everyday Is A Winding Road
6. Leaving Las Vegas
7. Strong Enough
8. Light In Your Eyes
9. If It Makes You Happy
10. The Difficult Kind
11. Picture (featuring Kid Rock)
12. Steve McQueen
13. A Change Would Do You Good
14. Home
15. There Goes The Neighborhood
16. I Shall Believe
17. The First Cut Is The Deepest (Country Version)
After the Sheryl Crow song, they then played Shania Twain who you told me recently broke up
with her husband. My mom told me that she did so because he was cheating on her by fooling
around with his secretary.
And I remember that you also talked about Mike Mike Myers’s new movie,
The Love Guru,
when you were here two days ago which I’ll tell you doesn’t sound like my type of movie. I’ll
remind you that I did see Mike Myers in the
Shrek film series
in which I only saw "Shrek" and "Shrek 2” so far, but I obviously didn’t see
“Shrek the Third”
yet seeing how it came out in 2007 and you know that it’s now been three and a half years since
the last time I seen a movie.
My mom found your ping pong ball on her watering can on top of the microwave, but she hasn’t
yet found your other surprise that I already know about and told you that I’d wait and see
whether or not she finds it on her own.
See you tomorrow at 1PM.
-Neil

PS2. Just as I finish typing this message, my dad
told me that he just saw on the news the story about a sixth foot washed up on the shore of
Jedidiah Island. He then said to me, quote “the world’s going strange.”
