John,
I know that you told me both in your last E-mail and yesterday in person not to worry about
writing details before the meeting and to just do things on my own time, but you’re the one who
decided for us to have a quite heavy conversation
yesterday so I therefore have a lot to write about now while it’s fresh in my mind and I’ll only
write today about the stuff that I think is more likely to get brought up at tomorrow’s meeting
than some of the other stuff. Carol just has to reconsider the thought about wanting her own
life and the thought about not wanting me to go shoe shopping with her no matter what I say.
Even though I know that “shoe shopping” was just an example, I would think that quite often guys
can be seen shoe shopping with ladies. And I told you before about my plans for when Carol has
appointments, either her friend, Holly, or one of Carol’s daughters could stay with me
or I could go with Carol to her appointment
and sit in the waiting room. I think that people sitting in a waiting room would also be another
quite common thing to see. Also, I told you in the message I sent you on Friday February 8th
what I plan to do whenever Carol wants to attend one of her family dinners. Every time when
there’s a dinner in Carol’s family, there’s always at least one person who doesn’t want to
attend and who perhaps could stay with me. I would also hope that there would always be someone
who could come and stay with me if Carol gets sick or if she hurts herself. And if Carol’s
daughter who got married has a baby and Carol therefore becomes a grandma, hopefully someplace
could be found where I could go and stay for just a few days if there ever comes a type of
situation where Carol has to take the baby overnight for example. Carol just
has to be that person who would have a heart
to stay with me 24/7 even if she won’t be getting paid to do so, there’s no one
else other than Carol who I want to doctor me in situations such as the most recent one with my
stomach that happened just within the last few days or any of these following:
Wednesday Apr.23,2008:
> ...I had a much better sleep the night before last night (Monday night) though until I
fell asleep the first
> time I kept having to get up and urinate and I also kept having messy toots, that wasn’t a
good evening
> for my stomach two nights ago...
Sunday Apr.27,2008:
> ...I didn’t fall asleep until a quarter after three the next night (Thursday
night/Friday morning) plus I was
> up having even more messy toots until I did fall asleep that night. And yet again I didn’t
fall asleep until
> 3AM last night after being up with an upset stomach...
Wednesday Apr.30,2008:
> ...the night before last night when I had gone upstairs to go to bed at 10PM on Monday evening
but ended
> up spending the next hour and a half on the toilet...I ran out of wipes when I was half way
through my hour
> and a half on the toilet so I had to run downstairs naked to get some more wipes. I didn’t
have any really
> bad stomach problems last night before I went to bed, so maybe I’ll sleep good again tonight
as long as I
> don’t have stomach problems again.
Saturday May 10,2008:
> ...an hour on the toilet before going to bed the evening before (on Wednesday evening)
when I had a really
> messy poop. I had poop all the way down my leg, I spent that hour in the bathroom first having
the poop
> and then cleaning up everything...
And remember when Carol and me had a Chinese dinner at around Valentines Day last year
(around Valentines Day 2007) and my mom left a message on Carol's answering machine the evening
on the day before to let her know that we’d might have to cancel the dinner because that was the
one time when I was constipated? And because Carol got my mom’s message, one of the first things
she (Carol) said to me as soon as she came in the front door the next day was “Oh Neil,
are you not feeling well?” I also remember my parents telling me that they would’ve came home
early that day if I wanted them to.
That is true about I don’t want to live by myself even if there’d still be help for me either
upstairs or on the other side of the door. I especially don’t want to live by myself if again I
have all of the same stomach problems that I detail above. I feel that I should have the same
care as what that girl, Megan, needs who lived in the basement at your other house for a few
days last month and who you considered not safe to live on her own, she’s almost blind so
therefore probably needs someone around to help her. And my friend Mac’s also probably not safe
to live on his own, he should have a worker staying with him in the same suite 24/7 because of
his heart condition. I don’t think it’s fair that I have to live in my own apartment while Pete,
who would be capable of living on his own if only he could afford to (and who you know doesn’t
go everywhere with Carol and can quite often be found at home by himself in the apartment),
shares the apartment with Carol. And also my cousin, Jenny, doesn’t live by herself and lives in
the same house with Judy and with all of the kids that Judy fosters, until she moves outside to
the shed that is. When I brought these two points to my mom about me having to have my own suite
while Pete and Jenny don’t have their own suites, my mom said that Jenny doesn’t have her own
bathroom. As far as I know, there’s only one bathroom inside Judy’s house. I’d obviously get my
own bathroom if I had my own apartment, but after my mom said to me about Jenny not having her
own bathroom I then said to her quote “but Pete does.” By the way,
Pete’s the only other person who lives in Carol’s apartment right now
besides Carol herself. I told you before that Pete has his own
bathroom at Carol’s place, except his is across the hall from his bedroom and Carol’s is an
“en-suite” meaning that it’s attached to her bedroom and therefore she wouldn’t have to go out
into the hallway to get between her bedroom and her bathroom. My mom remembers that one reason
why they’re looking for me to have my own suite is because I like to have the blinds closed
while most other people like to have them open during the day, and I said this in the message I
sent you on Sunday Feb.24,2008:
> ...I don’t like the idea about having my own suite, and I just want to live with Carol. I
remember my mom said
> that two reasons why she thinks I’d benefit from
having my own suite are; 1) because I have to get up
lots during the
> night to go to the bathroom and I couldn’t disturb anyone when doing so if I had my own suite
and 2) I like to
> keep the blinds closed during the day while other people like to have the blinds open. I think
Carol would be
> okay with me going to the bathroom lots every night, I remember I
went lots during the nights when she
stayed
> over and she slept through most of those
so I therefore think that she shouldn’t be
disturbed. And we now
> have blinds on every window in our house, the last time we had blinds installed was almost
three years ago
> when we had a special kind that block out more light installed on the big windows in our
living and dining
> rooms. I don’t remember exactly what these type of blinds are called, but I’ll let you know if
I remember the
> name...
I then went on to say in that same message where the above excerpt came from that what
eventually might work for Carol and me would be if we could have a unit where our bedrooms are
at opposite ends. The master bedroom would be on her side but my bedroom could still have its
own en-suite. I would prefer to have my bedroom, the living room, and my computer room all on
the North side. The reason why I’d want to have the
living room's window on the North side is because
that’s the room in which I watch TV. Another reason my mom thought herself why I’d be better to
have my own suite was because she for some reason thought that I like to eat my meals by myself.
I don’t know why she thought that, you know I’d want to eat my meals with Carol if I could live
with her.
You asked me yesterday if we find a place for me to live one day whether
I think my parents would let me have a say or if they would say that I
have to go and live there. When I first said to my mom while we were having our conversation
that I told you we had after our meeting with FVMH last month that “it sounds like she’s gunna
force me to move out,” she then said that she isn’t “forcing” me. If she doesn’t call it
forcing, what else would you call it when she gives me no choice other than to move out. It
seems to me like my parents speak their own language if for example they don’t call it “forcing
me” while to me it sounds like an appropriate word to describe what they are sounding like they
want to put me through, another example of when they use this such “language” of their’s would
be this following situation that I wrote about in the message that I sent you on Sunday
Feb.10,2008:
> ...She was also interrupting me a lot that whole evening, it seems like every second thing
I said that evening
> she would interrupt me when I was in the middle of saying it. After I said to her not to
interrupt me, she would
> then say that she wasn’t interrupting. I asked her what she calls it and then she said, “I
spoke too soon.” In
> my opinion, “interrupting” and “speaking too soon” both mean the same thing...
And it is already clear to me that I’ll be allowed to still come
home for visits once I move out. You already know that I had hoped to
stay in this house until the entire place is renovated and that I’ll miss picking the furniture.
My mom did say that they’ll let me fix up the place that I move into to look the way that I want
it to look, keep in mind that while I’ve been living where I am now my parents let me have my
bedroom exactly the way I wanted it with green walls etc...
Both of my parents met my grandparents yesterday afternoon at the Cascades Casino in Langley,
they also invited my auntie Karen and my uncle Robert to join them. When my dad phoned them
on Friday evening (evening of the 16th) to invite them, Robert who talked to my dad on
the phone said that “it’s probably cheaper to sit at the bar than to go gamble.” Once the
other five (my dad, my grandparents, and my aunt and uncle) left the casino, they all went
out for supper at the “abc Country Restaurant” that my dad sometimes goes to and has breakfast
after he drops off one of our vehicles at their dealerships nearby. And Karen, who took home one
of my bettas when I had babies around the summer of 2003, said to my dad yesterday that next
time she’s in our area she’ll take two bettas this time instead of just one.
The reason why Kris didn’t return my call until after I E-mailed you two days ago was because
it was really late when he got home on Saturday he didn’t get back until 1:30AM (1:30 on Sunday morning that is, after midnight). Kris said
something about he was going to have an open house, but I’m not sure if he was serious. I
wouldn’t want to go if he has one because there would be other people around and I’d rather
visit when it’s just us. And Kris doesn’t live in Coquitlam, I told you where he was moving to
in the message I sent you on Wednesday Feb.27,2008:
> ...He’s moving into a two-bedroom apartment in an apartment building that isn’t too far
from the basement
> suite where he currently lives in
Langley...
My parents went straight to the Starlight Casino as soon as they left home last
Thursday (the 15th). My dad lost money and my mom said that she pretty well broke even. My
dad also lost some of my mom’s money, my mom had cashed out after she won on one of the machines
and then she didn’t want to gamble anymore so she gave the slip to my dad and went into the
washroom. While she was in the washroom, dad used the slip and lost the money. Also at one point
when they were in the casino that day, my mom saw a Chinese man asking an attendant why his slip
wouldn’t work in the machine. The attendant then told the guy “because that slip is from the
River Rock casino.” After the casino, my parents had just enough time before they had to come
home to go to the London Drugs at Peninsula Village and get me not one but two of each colour
bag of allan gummies and they also got me some other kinds of gummies; a small bag of efruti
brand FRUIT JUICE BERRIES and a small bag of efruti brand FRUIT JUICE BLUEBERRIES.
Stuff I know about that’s been on the news this entire last week:
• You showed me the picture that was on the front page of the Peace Arch local
newspaper when you were here last Thursday, of a car that had slammed into a tree near Ocean
Park the previous Sunday morning (morning of Sunday the 11th). It took fire crews more
than 30 minutes to cut the man out.
• I remember you told me that the pedestrian who was killed in last week’s helicopter crash
was a twenty year old student from Kenya, Roger Whittaker was also born there.
• You told me about the couple in Port Hardy who won $22 million on the last Super 7 draw.
That’s a lotta dough, if I ever win that much money you know I’d put it towards the “I want to
live with Carol” fund. And I asked my mom if she knows how much it costs to buy a smart car and
she said “around $15 thousand” which I know is cheaper than our 2001 Honda when it was bran new
though I’d still be happy if I could win $15 thousand in cash.
• My mom read to me last week from the "Surrey Now" paper about a meeting coming up on
this Thursday (the 22nd) where they will be discussing redevelopment of the Semiahmoo
Mall. They’re talking about getting rid of the mall all together and then building apartment
high-rises on the site as well as extend the Semiahmoo Trail to the corner of 152nd Street and
16th Avenue. Does this mean no more mall down here? Incase it does mean so, I said to my mom
when she read me the story that I wonder if this would mean no more A&W in South Surrey. She
then said that they’d probably want to move the A&W to somewhere else in South Surrey if they
decide to go ahead with this because it does such a good business, so I then said to her that if
they have to move it I wonder if this would mean upgrading it to a regular size one. And there
goes my Facebook petition BTW to get a Dairy Queen in the food court at Semiahmoo Mall. I also
said to my mom when she read me the story that I also hope they won’t be getting rid of Price
Smart because if they do then all of those old ladies who shop there now and who you know that I
don’t like will be shopping at the South Point store. My mom thinks that because that Price
Smart location does a lot of good business, they’d probably want to open either another Price
Smart or Save-On somewhere else in South Surrey besides the South Point store if they do get rid
of the Price Smart that’s currently at the mall now. And when I asked my mom what she thought
would be happening to Zellers she responded by saying that if they open that Wal-Mart in South
Surrey this summer she thinks that the Wal-Mart would put that Zellers location out of business.
My mom also said that she’s sure that there’s a lot of people who don’t want to see that much
development in such a small area, and she thinks that they should be building more hospitals
and/or expanding existing hospitals before they build such tall high-rises because even the
hospital that we have down here right now can’t keep up with the population growth. And also,
there isn’t enough shopping down here as it is right now.
• My mom read in the business section of the Vancouver Sun about the closure of A&B Sound’s
Langley store, and it sounds like they’re closing two thirds of all the A&B stores in B.C. and
Alberta combined. Here’s an excerpt from the message that I sent you way back on Tuesday
Dec.11,2007:
> ...after Scottsdale Mall yesterday we then drove up to the A&B Sound
music store on Scott Road
> at around 80th Avenue where the Delta Shoppers Mall use to be to find
that the store had closed
> out. I was kind of surprised to find that out since this location had
only been open a few years, I
> guess they weren’t doing enough business...
I guess now the Whalley store’s the only location we have left on this side of the Fraser
River, for now that is. I wonder if eventually all of the A&B Sound locations will be gone the
way their business is going.
• Did you hear that heavy rain and thunder last night in the middle of the night? My mom saw
on today’s Noon News that there were some power outages in parts of the lower mainland.
• I watched Adopt-A-Pet at the end of today’s Noon News for the second time since before
Christmas after my mom told me that she heard them say before the commercial break that they
were having on eleven kittens including two that were the same colour as Summer, that’s Carol’s
cat who she had put down last year a month before she got Yari. Summer was a male cat and he
lived to only five years. And I do still eat meals by myself at my TV table in the living room.
They said at the end of Adopt-A-Pet today that Global BC now has a page on Facebook.
Speaking about Facebook, I guess that “we hate the PT Cruiser” would probably be what
I’d call my club after you said yesterday that you couldn’t find such a club that already exists
when you searched those exact same words. Remember you read in some of my previous messages that
I didn’t know which one of these four names to give the club at first:
- “I hate the PT Cruiser”
- “we hate the PT Cruiser”
- “I don’t like the PT Cruiser”
- “we don’t like the PT Cruiser”
Cat stories for this last week:
• Thursday May 15,2008: My dad said that he should have a water pistol because
Izzy wouldn’t stop meowing. She also kept meowing yesterday evening and wouldn’t stop.
• Friday May 16,2008: Chloe was exploring inside the hole in our backyard where my dad’s been
digging out that one shrub.
• Friday May 16,2008 - evening: While I was upstairs having my shower, my mom was weeding in
the backyard near the trellis when all of a sudden Izzy zooms up to her and then she climbed up
the trellis and she (Izzy) was sitting on top of the trellis looking down at my mom. Later when
my mom came inside, she noticed that she had a big scratch on her arm but she thought that was
from the rosebush and not from either of our cats.
• Sunday May 18,2008: When my mom was putting the frosting on the cake after she made the
cake, she put a bit of frosting on the end of her finger for Izzy to taste and then Izzy got a
little white spot on the end of her nose. Sorry you didn’t get to have a piece of the cake that
my mom made BTW.
My opinion about the confetti Angel food cake...I don’t know if this is just me but I seem to
remember that when I had Angel food cake before that had frosting, the frosting didn’t seem
quite as “heavy” if you know what I mean while the frosting on my mom’s cake tasted a bit more
like pudding. And I don’t know the best way to describe this, but I also seem to remember that
when I had Angel food cake before and it had frosting that the slices were a bit longer than the
slice that I had last night for my dessert after supper, and also the bottom of the slice that I
had yesterday looked like it was a bit high above the plate compared to the slices I remember
having in the past.
• Sunday May 18,2008: Chloe saw an ant crawling up the wall and she was sort of pawing at it
every so often. This is the first time in a long time that I remember finding an ant inside our
house, we use to see them all the time during the first few years after we moved in.
• Sunday May 18,2008 - evening: Izzy had gone over the fence not long after supper and then
we didn’t see her for a long time since. We found out a couple hours later why she didn’t want
to come home when she came back over the fence carrying a dead baby bird in her mouth. And then
when my dad tried to grab the bird from Izzy so he could then throw it in the garbage, Izzy
hissed and swatted at him before he finally got the bird from her.
• Monday May 19,2008 - evening: Chloe threw her “Sammy snake” toy way up in the air.
• Tuesday May 20,2008 - afternoon: My mom was crouched down petting Izzy when all of a sudden
Izzy grabbed onto my mom’s leg and started to bite into her hand.
• Tuesday May 20,2008 - afternoon: My mom was sitting at the kitchen table sewing when she
saw Izzy on the kitchen counter and then Izzy jumped across to table. My mom had to then shoo
her away before she (Izzy) could touch my mom’s sewing pile because there were pins in
there.
You told me when you were here yesterday afternoon that you voted for a dog in a “JACK FM pet
contest” online, that’s the radio station that I use to listen to many years ago back when they
were Kiss-Fm. I switched to QM/FM when they switched to JACK because I found that JACK played a
bit more hard rock than what Kiss-Fm had played, you know that I don’t like hard rock.
I remember you asked me yesterday afternoon when you were with me if I ever got a sunburn. I
asked my mom after you left to confirm whether or not I never had a sunburn and the only sunburn
that she remembered me having in my life so far was when we were camping at Long Beach on
Vancouver Island one summer when I was only seven years old, she remembers that she and my dad
put lots of lotion on me before we ventured out onto the beach while forgetting that I would be
taking off my shoes and socks once we got to the beach. The top of my feet got a bit burnt.
I don’t like anything else from the Chinese counter at Safeway besides the rice and “chow
mein,” but you know that I like a few of the other Chinese things that they have at the China
Kitchen in Langley. And I use to eat peanuts, the kinds I ate were regular, Barbeque, and Honey
Roasted. You asked me if I like peanut butter, I’ll let you know that more recently I sometimes
have peanut butter on a piece of bread for my evening snack.
My mom saw a commercial for “Ocean’s Spray” cranberry juice a few evenings ago when she was
watching TV, that was the first time I had ever seen an Ocean’s Spray commercial. Speaking about
cranberry juice, I didn’t know until you and I walked over to the Macs store last Thursday that
they make cranberry juice and grape juice together. My mom told me after you left that same day
that they mix cranberry juice with all sorts of different flavours; grape, cherry, raspberry,
etc. And my mom got me a few different ones to try when she was at the Peninsula Village Safeway
last Saturday afternoon (on the 17th); a “CranGrape” and a “Cran•Raspberry” both of these
made by the Ocean’s Spray brand. The only other flavour that they had was blueberry, it figures
that they didn’t have the cherry one seeing as how it would’ve been my preferred choice between
that, grape, and raspberry.
My dad got a free bottle of Coke one day last week when he was at the liquor store. If you
buy one bottle of rye, you get a free bottle of Coke. I’ll get to drink Coke for the first time
in quite a while but I plan not to open that bottle until after I finish the bottle of Lime
Crush that I told you in
the message I sent you last Wednesday
(the 14th) I opened when I had one of my evening snacks two weekends ago (Saturday the
10th/Sunday the 11th).
My dad went to the Revy store down here at 32nd Avenue and King George two days ago
(on Sunday) to look for some clips that he needed to put the screen back on that fell off one of
our upstairs windows last year, they didn’t have what he was looking for so he then tried Home
Depot and they didn’t have them either. After Home Depot, he then decided to drive to Art Knapps
and see if they had some spray that he was looking for one of his trees. They were busier than
heck and he couldn’t find anyone to help him so he then drove over to the little Home Hardware
by us where the Macs store is. Seeing how he found his clips there, he said that he should’ve
just went there to start with.
My dad brought home scratches for everybody last Wednesday (the 14th); a BLACKJACK and
a “CaSh COW” for me. I won $2 on both of them, therefore I got double my money back and so did
my dad who won $10 on his $5 scratch though my mom didn’t win anything on her $5 scratch. The
next day (on the 15th), he got for me using my winnings from the day before; one
BLACKJACK, one GOLDRUSH, and one DOLLAR SIGNS, I didn’t win on any of those. My dad won $25 on
an “instant win” on his big bingo scratch that same day (last Thursday) but he didn’t win
on the main game of that scratch. And I think those bingo scratches have more than one
instant win (or “bonus puzzle”), the one my dad won on is called “fast cash.” After my
dad won his $25, my mom said quote “dad wins 25 and leaves the rest of us nothing.” On the
next day (Friday) he uses 12 of his $25 to buy scratches for all three of us and puts the
other 13 in his pocket, he got for me this time my two favorite $1 scratches; a BLACKJACK and a
GOLDRUSH, I didn’t win on either of them. And why is it that lately I always have to beat 20 on
the BLACKJACKs.
When my mom came down the stairs this morning, she discovered the first surprise that you
left for us...the ping pong ball in my hat. Did you know that one is one of the ping pong balls
that glows in the dark? We got our cats those glow in the dark balls for last Christmas just a
few months ago. Another surprise, my dad opened the freezer on top of our fridge an hour after
you left last Thursday (the 15th) and a ball came flying down as soon as he did so. My
mom already saw it there after you left and before my dad opened the freezer door and discovered
it himself.
And you can get the three most recent images we cropped at this location:
http://www.stuntsillusion.com/download/tempfile1.zip
My mom thought that all four of us could go to
Port Coquitlam in one vehicle (our Honda) tomorrow and then my parents could drop off you
and I here after the meeting so that we could go out for lunch at McDonald's while my parents
thought that they might go for a walk on the beach. Don’t forget to make sure that I remember to
ask for five things of honey sauce with the McNuggets and then you can get me three KETCHUPs
when we go over to the condiments counter after we order. I think I will have a pack of “Chips
Ahoy” Thinsations “Thin Crisps” with my cranberry juice tomorrow for my afternoon snack.
See you tomorrow at 9AM.
