My dad just got back from delivering Christmas presents to our relatives out in the valley,
when he saw my grandparents they said that they will be at our place at 11:15AM on
Wednesday (boxing day) so maybe you could come 15 minutes before them at 11AM. I said
before that we could make bagels that day since most places might be too crowded for me on
boxing day. And now that I know you're not available on New Years Eve, you can come the day
before (Sunday Dec.30,2007) at 1PM.
My mom wasn't feeling well yesterday so just my dad and me went out for supper at Moxies in
Langley. On our way out to Langley, we found ourselves in the line-up for that accident that we
heard on the radio news and occurred at 192nd Street and Highway 10 so my dad turned around when
there were no cars coming and we went around via 64th Avenue. My dad did a
U-Turn on Highway 10, I remember we weren't the only car who did a U-Turn
there at that time. Once we got to Moxies, I got my full order of natchos with Sprite to drink.
Seeing how I don't use either the salsa or the sour
cream when I have notchos, we asked them to bring us two things of quacamole instead of those
other two things. After I got home last night, my stomach was feeling really burpy. It was
probably after having all those natchos, this is the second time in a row I ate the whole plate
of natchos after the first time being going there with my parents for my 25th birthday two
months ago. Maybe next time I'll have to either order the half order or just eat all the ones
that have cheese on them first and then leave most of the plain ones and the quacamole-covered
ones, whenever I finish a thing of quacamole and it's time for me to start a new one my dad
breaks up the chip for me to eat that the last
quacamole was served in. After we left Moxies, we
didn't find any of the fish I was looking for at either of the fish stores in Langley. We didn't
spend any other money when we went out last night except to pay for supper. I didn't remember
until today that I forgot I was running low on the frozen baby brine shrimp, a frozen treat that
I feed my baby fish. My dad said that he and my mom could go back out to Langley tomorrow while
I'm with you and see if any of the stores we were at last night have the baby brine shrimp. Most
important, I hope my mom feels better in time for Christmas day. Nobody should be sick on
Christmas day, that's my opinion. At the big Petland Superstore on Fraser Highway last night, we
saw this alligator statue (aquarium ornament) in one of the tanks. The airline from the
pump feeds bubbles into the alligator's mouth. As more bubbles feed into the alligator's mouth,
the alligator's head slowly tilts back. When the alligator's head is full of bubbles, the
alligator's mouth opens while its head is tilted
back and all the bubbles fly out and up to the surface. This looked like a neat statue.
My dad read in the paper before him and I left to go out last night that some car lost
control while on the freeway (Highway 99)
near the 152nd Street overpass and ended uip flying off the freeway and through a couple g
reenhouses at the Potters garden store before coming to a stop in The Keg's parking lot. And
the lady who was driving the car is still alive.
I watched today's Noon News on Global and saw the story about the guy who some kids beat up
at the bus loop in Langley. The guy is still alive, but got some really bad injuries and had to
go to hospital.
This thing with my dad's cell phone plan is that he got a 250 dollar credit for having the
same plan for a while. The reason why he's not sure whether or not he will get a new plan right
now is because if he decides to get a new 400 dollar phone, then he'll still have to pay 150
dollars of his own money since the credit only covers 250 dollars. One reason to maybe stay
with his current plan for now would be that the free long distance on all of the new plans
doesn't start until after 9PM while the free long distance on his
curreny plan starts after 8PM. You already know that
he's got a new cell phone battery coming that he ordered from eBay, so if he does decide to get
a new phone he won't use the new battery for very long.
I had the other donut I told you I got from Safeway for dessert at supper on Thursday after
you left. While my parents are out tomorrow, they might stop at Safeway to get a couple more of
those same donuts for me with the red and green Christmas-coloured sprinkles as well as pie for
themselves for dessert at Christmas dinner. I'll just be happy having one of the cupcakes my mom
made for dessert after Christmas dinner, I don't like pie myself. If my parents find me a couple
more donuts tomorrow, one of those might be what I have for dessert
at lunch on Wednesday after we make bagels. While I
was with you last Thursday, the only thing my mom found that I wanted from Save-On-Foods was two
more gingerbread cookies. She got me one gingerbread Santa head and one other gingerbread man,
exactly the same gingerbread man I told you I got the day I was with my mom at that same
Save-On location (the South Point one). They were out of the other stuff I wanted from
there which was:
-round butter shortbread cookies with red and green sprinkles.
-more red and green Santa head jujubes from the bulk section.
-more read, green, and white Christmas jelly beans from the bulk section.
My dad stopped at the Price Smart store at Semiahmoo Mall on his way out to the valley this
morning and found the shortbread cookies I described above. He didn't find any of the stuff I
wanted from the bulk section, so when he and my mom go out tomorrow they'll stop at any Save-On
or Price Smart locations they go by to see if any of them have the bulk stuff. So they have
that to do tomorrow, go to Safeway, and I told you above about going back and looking for my
baby brine shrimp.
I hope you like the card.
Merry
Christmas
and Happy New Year if I don't E-mail you again before.
See you at 1PM tomorrow.
-Neil
P.S. While I was typing this message, my mom was upstairs wrapping presents. When she had
just finished wrapping one present, my cat, Chloe (the one you only saw a few seconds of),
grabbed the bow off the present and ran off with it. You already know about our other cat, Izzy,
grabbing a ball off of our Christmas tree and then running our of the room with it and dropping
it on the floor in our downstairs hallway.
