I went out with my mom this morning and we got all our cats’ Christmas shopping done. First
we stopped at “PET FOOD ‘N MORE” in Newton. The only thing we bought there was a little toy for
Izzy’s stocking with a string you can pull to make the toy move. We then went across to Pet
Cetera and bought four ping pong balls, we’ll probably put two in each cat’s stocking. I was
surprised we didn’t see any springs in either of the first two stores we were in. After Pet
Cetera, we drove up to Surrey Place (now Central City Mall). We didn’t find anything we were
looking for in the little pet store there, we then went next door to Shoppers Drug Mart. That
Shoppers Drug Mart is now quite a big store in its new location. They’re no longer where they
use to be in that mall, they’re now just down the hall from there on the bottom floor where Sears use to be. They had lots of cookies, Christmas candies, and other good stuff at the front of that Shoppers store. We bought a small bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs and a small bag of HERSHEY’S EGGIES at Shoppers. I now have all my Christmas candy. My mom found a bag of the red and green smarties when she was at Safeway last Thursday a few days ago while I was with you. After Shoppers, we went to Zellers to finish our cat shopping. We found some springs at Zellers, but these are a bit longer and a bit skinnier than the ones my cats already had that they are wearing. This pack of springs at Zellers had three green, three yellow, two pinky-red, and two blue. We also got a little plastic cat stocking at Zellers that had two red-red springs in it. We found enough other toys at Zellers to finish our cat shopping, Christmas shopping for our cats is now done and we don’t have to look in anymore pet stores this week at cat toys. After
Zellers, we had lunch from A&W at the food court then we came home. At A&W, I had my whistle
dog, medium fires, and medium Sprite. My mom also
had a whistle dog and she had a Minute Maid apple juice to drink with her’s. We also saw signs
up around Surrey Place today that a new Tim Horton’s had just opened in that mall, but we just
don’t know where in the mall that would be. Must have been in a part of the mall we didn’t go
to today. We also found another bakery on the lower floor of Surrey Place, between Shoppers and
the pet store. The only thing at that bakery I would like would be the good selection of cakes
we saw, lots of cakes there to choose from. Other than that, mostly stuff I don’t like such as
pasteries and Chinese stuff. That Vanettas bakery in Newton has been there a long time, we
bought one of my birthday cakes from there many years ago.
I forgot to tell you when I was with you on Thursday, my mom found out what the difference is
between those white boxes of Smarties and the regular Smarties. It’s the same Smarites in both
boxes, the difference is that the white one is for if you want to help design a new Smartie box.
You still didn’t see my newest litter of baby platties when you were with
me last Thursday, I guess we got too busy doing
other stuff that day.
Next Sunday (the 23rd) is okay with my parents, you can come at 1PM that day. See the
last E-mail I sent you for times leading up to then from now. My grandparents said that they
would like to come in sometime over the Christmas holidays and see our Christmas display, my mom
thought maybe they can come in on boxing day and my parents could take them out for lunch. It
will probably be too crowded for me to want to go anywhere for lunch that day, so if we end up
having you come earlier that day maybe we can make some bagels.
We had a note on our front door yesterday, there will be a detour in my neighbourhood
effective Monday Dec.17,2007 though to Friday Jan.11,2008 to accommodate sewer pipe
construction. Therefore, 142nd Street (where the elementary school is) will be closed to
traffic between 16A and 17A Avenues. My street is

My mom was finishing up her shopping at Safeway last Thursday while I was with you. After she
put her buggy away, an old lady who had her foot in a cast asked my mom to put her buggy away
for her because she had a broken foot. My mom did so and then when she went to give the lady her
quarter, the lady started talking to my mom and kept her there talking when it was really
miserable out and my mom couldn’t wait to get out of the rain.
Not once, but twice after our cat, Izzy, came in
from outside yesterday, my mom picked her up and Izzy who had muddy feet got mud on my mom.
We got the cupcakes made yesterday. I had one for my dessert at supper last night and they
tasted good. I’m looking forward to the dinner and I’ll see you around 4PM tomorrow afternoon.
