This is our cat George. He is a tabby and doesn't mind being gently brushed and having his claws trimmed regularly. He prefers human food over cat food and is a very chatty catty. We have had him since he was a wee tiny kitten. He is now 13 years old and has used up a couple of his nine lives, one of which I want to tell you about. When he was three we returned home from a vacation to be told by our pet/house sitter that George had not been home for about three days. We were discussing this outside in our backyard and out came George, limping, from a shrubby corner of our yard. He had three puncture wounds in a triangular pattern on his back. The vet figured he was probably picked up by an owl or an eagle and then dropped. His puncture wounds and ego healed but he had to have surgery on his left shoulder, which we figure took the brunt of the fall. He is still going strong and still manages to get "in" to the strangest "things," one of which I managed to capture on film. He is one lucky cat!
