John,

So far today has not been a good day for my stomach. I had many messy toots since I got up. I told you before that I don’t usually have messy toots this early in the day.

Yesterday was the second time within just the past two months that my mom messed up supper...though it wasn’t my supper that she messed up this time, she was making a stir fry for she and my dad’s supper when she grabbed the wrong box. She meant to put cornstarch in her stir fry but she instead grabbed a box of baking soda. My dad offered to run out and pick up a couple burgers but my mom said “no” and she just made something else for them.

My dad found Izzy at the deck door waiting to be let in yesterday just after you left. Remember that when you first got here my mom didn’t know whether she was inside or out so my dad told me to keep checking the backdoor incase she was out. I remembered to keep checking for the first few hours when you were here, but then I completely forgot about it until my dad saw her.

And I would’ve thought that you knew Larry did come here on last Tuesday seeing how the very first sentence in my previous E-mail to you was where I said that Kris tried to phone us when Larry and I were playing our board games and then Kris called us again later to let us know about his grandpa. Also just yesterday, you asked me if I like blueberries and then you said that I probably told you before whether or not I like them. I did say a few times in previous E-mails that I sometimes have blueberries in a bowl with whipping cream for my dessert after supper, and I also mentioned a few times before that my mom buys the spray cans of whipping cream instead of buying the mixes. Infact, we’ve been growing blueberries in our backyard this summer and mom might pick some for me to have with the whipping cream tonight for my dessert after supper.

Now you said that the ice machine Dianne got for her birthday isn’t suppose to be any louder than the dishwasher? What I can’t handle are things such as blenders, mixers, coffee grinders, etc.

I guess that the story I showed you yesterday in the Peace Arch would now be the third time that Michaela Robinson was in the paper. Remember I shared with you sometime last year another newspaper story that was about her and the first time when I saw her in the paper was the time that they showed a picture of her with Jared from the SUBWAY commercials? Also remember I told you before that Carol also knew Michaela? I think it was when Carol’s daughters were younger and were playing baseball. I think the sport might’ve been baseball, I can’t remember which sport it was. Anyway, I forget whether Michaela has siblings who played on the same team or why she was at Carol’s daughters games, all I remember Carol telling me was that Michaela sat on the bench with Carol while her daughters played.

And remember the purple convertible you saw yesterday in the driveway across the street and has the license plate that said “the more people that I meet I love my cat even more,” my dad told me that he sees that car there lots but he didn’t know about the license plate. And he thinks that the car might belong to either Gary’s sister or his wife’s sister. And the car that you saw had California license plates and was parked in front of the house next door could’ve been our new neighbours’ car seeing how they actually lived in Monterey, California for the last two or three years after they immigrated from Korea and before they lived in Fleetwood for a short time. Also remember I pointed out a sign in the middle of their front yard that advertises “KDS Construction?” I’ll tell you that’s the name of Marvin’s business.

It’s now a quarter after Three and an ambulance just parked on the other side of my street a couple houses down from where we get our mail so I could have more news to tell you about within the next coming days but I better give you the link now for the pictures that my dad took last week on his fishing trip or otherwise it could be September before I get them to you. And I uploaded them to

• IMG_2004_guide.jpg - the guide
• IMG_2032.jpg - one of the smaller Bon Chovy Fishing Charters, remember that the big 38 foot was the one that my dad’s company rented?
• IMG_2037.jpg - my dad with the fish that he caught before he threw it back.
• IMG_2050.jpg - my dad’s back to Prospect Point.
• IMG_2063.jpg and IMG_2064.jpg - the two seals that live somewhere in the harbour where they went out. Now, my dad said that both these pictures might not be of the same seal...he could’ve got one picture of each seal. Also, my dad told us that only the guides feed them. A tourist tried to feed them once, but then he had to go to the hospital and have surgery on his hand.

And my dad showed me last night how to make the pics smaller (in memory) while without losing any clarity...download a photo off of your camera and then open it in “Paint Shop Pro 6.” Remember that I made you a copy of that prog? Now click on “Save As” underneath the “File” menu. After you click on “Save As” and before you save your pic, there’s a button in the bottom-right corner of the “Save As” window that says “Options.” Click on “Options” and then try changing the “Compression” to somewhere around 75. Doing this will make a big reduction on your pic’s file size compared to the size that it was after you first downloaded it, it should be as low as a quarter of its original size once compressed.

Now speaking about big files, did you download the pictures that my dad took last month when he went fishing with my uncle Robert up at Chataway:

Saturday June 27th 2009:
> ...I uploaded all of the pictures that my dad took to the following URL for you to download, and it’s a
> big 63MB file:

> The one of the lodge at Chataway was taken from the other side of the lake at their campsite using the
> telephoto lens on my dad’s camera, he also took IMG_1997 using his telephoto lens. And notice in one
> of the pics of Kiernan by the campfire that he was listening to his iPod...

...or the ones that he took at Jen’s shower...

Also remember that on Tuesday June 30th I forwarded to you a funny cat E-mail that my dad forwarded to me after my grandma sent it to him? I know you told me that you looked at it, but now here’s what Larry said when he wrote to me on Monday July 6th:

Hi Neil,

Yes I saw your cat email! It was hilarious! I love animals so it is always wonderful to see pictures of them in such interesting poses. My favourite was the one with the cat in the dogs mouth, so large but so gentle…its nice to see how creatures that are so different can get along together…building trust and friendship…a good message for humans….

Here is a link to one of my favourite videos that exemplifies this:

Now, I haven’t clicked yet on the above link that Larry sent to me nor had I ever showed Larry the two video files that you sent me on the next day of the Bach tune on a piano board or the one that your friend, Dave, made about saving the Antelope. Maybe you and I could watch the one together on Sunday that Larry sent to me after we come back to my place. Also, maybe one day I’ll upload the two that you sent me to my YouTube Channel show that Larry could see them.
