Message:

John, this is the message I sent you two days ago (on Tuesday Aug.19) titled “About dogs, videos, and other things.” Please let me know ASAP if you get this.

John,

My dad called that guy back this morning who left that message on our machine yesterday. I guess his name is Brian, not Brendan. And he said that he’ll meet us for the first time at the next meeting which is on the 18th of next month.

I don’t see the point of them finding a placement for me if I don’t agree to let my parents have more freedom by being left at home by myself because if they do find a placement for me there’s still a good chance that I could also be spending time there by myself seeing how there aren’t a lot of people out there who would stay with me 24/7. What I said was that a rare opportunity had come up last Wednesday afternoon on which I agreed to be left at home by myself and I’d rather my parents not try to make an opportunity and instead just wait and see if another such opportunity ever comes up again. Again, as far as I know I don’t think that any of the other kids who Carol did respite for get left at home by themselves.

I remember you said when you were here yesterday about what I said in person at last month’s meeting, “I could get away with doing almost anything I want if I get left at home by myself.” Now if they leave me at home by myself, I could make a dirty Sesame Street video just like the one of "Bert in the bathtub," "Oscar the Grouch cussing out the Teletubbies," or "The Count puts the bite on Miss Piggy.” And speaking about those videos, maybe I should phone my friend, Mac, and ask him if he’s got anything going the next while. Maybe I could finally have him over one of the next times you’re with me and we could watch those YouTube videos.

Here are my comments about the videos that we watched yesterday:

•funny cats/dogs #1:
I’m quite familiar with the picture at 1:10 after seeing it in so many different places, my friend Kris even sent it to me and then I uploaded it to my Stunts Illusion website. Go directly to the update in which I uploaded the picture by clicking here. Notice what it says underneath the pic.

• Try to watch this without grinning or laughing:
I wasn’t sure when I first turned on this video whether or not the music is an instrumental version of Elton John's "Crocodile Rock." And I wonder why some of these scenes pop up in more than one video such as the “INVISIBLE BIKE” or the scene later on when the cat comes up between the couch cushions onto the couch.

• Cows with guns:
Now I finally heard this song for the first time. And maybe I could make my own collage with this song dubbed over pics of Sesame Street or Muppets characters.

• The Nice Kitty Song:
Notice at the end of the video the guy reacts to the kitty biting him by saying “Holy...”
This might be another video we could add to the above list of inappropriate videos to watch with Mac.

• funny collection of dogs, cats and kids sleeping:
I recognize the song that is played in this video from the Shrek movies.

Now I’m thinking for our video that you and I took at Sunnyside Acres, I have a bunch of cassettes somewhere upstairs that have nature sound effects. I’ve taped these off of nature CDs that I took out of the library years ago. I’m thinking about using one of those nature sound effects at the start of our video and then have it fade to instrumental music. If I go through my cassettes and see what we got, would you be able to or know of any way that we could capture the cassette’s audio and have it on the computer? And maybe later on in the video sometime when we’re on the Douglas-fir trail we could have a sound effect of a horse galloping.

Remember I said to you sometime within the last few weeks that I want our next dog to be brown like the last two we had. In the following ZIP file you can get two pictures of the dog I had before the last one which was the one who had to be put down in 1990, and also the same picture that you saw in our downstairs office of the last dog that we had:

You can also get this week’s featured house plan from Jenish.com in the above ZIP file.
porky1983.bmp - This first photo of the dog, Corky, was taken back in 1983 when she was still called Porky.
Corky1990.bmp - Here I am sometime in year 1990 sitting between Corky and my grandma’s old dog, Liza. Liza was a Lhasa Apso.

I might want our next dog though to have straight hair more like the more recent dog we had, Brandy, and not more curly hair like what Corky had. I guess that even Brandy shedded quite a lot of hair too.

I remember one of the times when you were at my place last week, you sang “Fun, Fun, Fun” by The Beach Boys. My dad has that song on his Beach Boys CD titled “The Beach Boys - The Greatest Hits - Volume I.” Here’s its track listing:

1. Surfin' Safari
2. 409
3. Surfin' U.S.A.
4. Shut Down
5. Surfer Girl
6. Little Deuce Coupe
7. Catch a Wave
8. Be True to Your School
9. Fun, Fun, Fun
10. I Get Around
11. Dance, Dance, Dance
12. Do You Wanna Dance
13. Help Me, Rhonda
14. California Girls
15. Barbara Ann
16. Sloop John B
17. Wouldn't It Be Nice
18. God Only Knows
19. Good Vibrations
20. Kokomo

My mom found something at Wal-Mart yesterday afternoon that she hasn’t found for a while...”Cheese Nips Party Mix.” She also told me that she heard on the radio when she was out yesterday in the car that Phil Collins is now going through his third divorce.

When I told my mom that you left a chocolate yesterday for all three of us, she then said that I could probably have all three of those chocolate balls tonight for my evening snack. And I plan to have some After Eight mints with those.

I liked that chocolate fudge cake so much, the one that I told you I had last week from Safeway. Remember I said before that for my 26th birthday coming up in almost two months I’m thinking about getting the Safeway cake decorator to make one of my round double layer chocolate cakes. This could probably be done in either fudge or chocolate truffle. Or I wonder if I could get just milk chocolate; no fudge, no truffle, not a black forest cake, and no chocolate moose. Again chocolate fudge and chocolate truffle would be my two most preferred if I had to go with one of those four. And I also said before that I probably won’t want to get this done at the Peninsula Village Safeway seeing how their cake decorator was off sick when we asked them about getting a cake made for Easter, maybe this time we could try the little Safeway in Ocean Park. Now seeing how your and my birthdays are only two days apart, we could have a little pizza and Chinese supper at my place and with my two friends either sometime on Thanksgiving weekend (weekend of Saturday October 11th and holiday Monday the 13th) or on the next weekend (weekend of Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th). I guess I should call up my friends pretty soon and see which of those two weekends might work better for them.

My mom knocked as many as five ping pong balls out from under the loveseat earlier this afternoon and then she knocked out another three from underneath the bigger couch in the same room. She then asked Chloe quote, “did you do that or did John do that.”

See you on Thursday at 1PM.

-Neil
