John,

I am starting a new message because for some reason when I click the “reply” button in the E-mail that you sent me, my computer screws up really bad and it has to be rebooted.

I got out for a walk with my dad this afternoon for the first time in I don’t know how long, we walked over to the fountain (this time with my dad’s little camera) and tried again at taking the pictures. We managed to take four good pictures this time, but you’ll have to wait and see them once I have your CD ready that I’m putting together for you because all four of the pictures are each 5MB. Again for some reason whenever I try to ZIP either one big file or a bunch of files that just add up to a big size in total when on my downstairs computer and after choosing “New Compressed (zipped) Folder” underneath the “File” menu in “My Computer,” I get the error message that says “The Compressed (Zipped) Folder is invalid or corrupted.”

So you finally got around to looking at my YouTube Channel!

Speaking about YouTube, for some reason I can’t seem to add you to my list of “Friends” on YouTube. I can’t get the icon/link to your Channel to appear underneath the “Friends” tab in my Channel.

They were both good. At SUBWAY I got my usual six inch turkey on white with mayonnaise, medium Sprite to drink, and two cookies. And I got my usual two cookies; one smartie one and one white Chocolate Chunk cookie that has dark chunks. After SUBWAY, we then went a few doors down to the Cloverdale Tim Hortons on Highway 10. I got one Vanilla Dip with colour sprinkles and one chocolate dip long john, I had the sprinkle one yesterday for my afternoon snack after we got home with some more of the strawberry HAPPY PLANET to drink. My mom recently got a bottle of Ocean’s Spray Cran•Blueberry and I had some of that to drink with my afternoon snack today. My dad picked me up a chicken cobb salad from Safeway to have for supper tonight and I will have the long john for dessert after I have the salad. And my mom already told me before today that the Safeway salads now come in different shaped containers than what they came in before but they looked like the same salads.

I did good at the first place we went to yesterday, the big Petland Superstore on Fraser Highway, but I didn’t get everything that was on my list. I plan to get out again with my dad this Wednesday after he comes home from work to the Big Al's store in Richmond, I have a membership with them on which I get points added to my card every time I buy something from them. Every Wednesday you can get double the amount of points that you’d get if you were to buy something on any other day of the week. Now yesterday at Petland, I got three glow light tetras for my 32 gallon, so now I have a total of eight in that tank including the five that I already had in there. And I got five catfish; three albino coreys (one for my 32 gallon and two for my 38 gallon), one salt and pepper corey for my 32 gallon, and one ordinary corey for my ten gallon that’s right on top of the five gallon. When the guy at the store was getting our fish for us, my dad asked him if all of their tanks in that store are all hooked up to one big filter. The guy then told my dad that at least half of the tanks along the back row are all hooked up to the same filter. I wonder if I could buy a filter that big if I had another house with a big fish room downstairs, think about how many tanks and how much fish I could have if I had a filter that’s that big. Also when we were in the same store (Petland on Fraser Highway), we saw a little girl and her dad walking around the fish area and my dad was pretty sure that the girl looked like she had albinism. My dad had to bother going over there to ask if she did, we then found out that she didn’t and she just had really light blond hair.

At the other fish store that we went to yesterday, Fish World in Langley, I saw some bright pink fish that looked neat but it didn’t say on the tank what kind of fish they were. I wouldn’t want them if they were any kind of barb or any kind of cichlid because barbs can be aggressive and cichlids will tear apart the plants in my aquarium. If I had my mom’s cell phone with us, I could’ve taken a picture of those pink fish.

And yesterday morning on our way out to Langley, we were going down the hill on 148th Street in South Surrey and this car that was a couple cars ahead of us was going down the hill really slow. And then when we got around the corner at the bottom of the hill and were waiting at the light at King George, we saw the same car drive over the median strip and then we saw it drive North in the southbound lane on King George before turning into the Revy parking lot. My dad said that it looked like an old lady who was driving the car. My dad was also gunna call the police, but he was too late.

Now after we got home yesterday after fish shopping, my poor dad went to sit in one of the lawn chairs on our deck so that he could put his shoes on when he forgot that the lawn chairs had been sitting in the rain and he got his pants all wet. He had to then come back inside and put on a dry pair.

Wow, nice fishy! Now I will have to go and find a picture of a crocodile online and then again you could take a picture of your “silly hat” for me and I’ll put the hat on the crocodile.

There was a mix-up yesterday morning at the vet when my dad went there to drop off Chloe. They didn’t have her appointment written down in their books, but they managed to squeeze her in. I even saw Chloe’s legs where they had to shave them a bit to put the IV in. A few other cat stories for you now:

• Izzy brought back yet another dead bird this morning. My mom says that Izzy’s gunna end up dead if she keeps bringing these birds home.

• Thursday July 31,2008 - morning: When my mom yelled at Izzy to stop scratching on her chair (the cloth recliner) in the family room, she (Izzy) just went over and scratched on the couch.

My dad told me the story about the missing plane that was at the top of today’s Noon News. He said that he flew on that airline a few of the times when we went up to Kamloops.

I hope that my mom and dad will either go for a walk just the two of them tomorrow afternoon and take pictures of the two houses (the ones on the other side of 140th Street that I wanted pictures of) or just drive by in their car and take a few pictures before they drive off and do other things. As for you and me, I think tomorrow might be a good afternoon to drive over to Sunnyside Acres and explore that side trail (the Douglas-fir trail). And if my dad gets Thursday afternoon off this week, I might have them then drive by in their car before they do their other stuff and take pictures of the two houses on the other side of 144th Street that I told you in the last E-mail I also wanted pictures of.

See you tomorrow at 1PM.

P.S. They had this “true/false” question on one of the bonus rounds during one of the weeks when Elmo was one of the squares on the 2002-2003 season of “Hollywood Squares;” Elmo is the son of Cookie Monster. Now though the answer obviously is “false,” do you think that the following might be what he’d look like if he were Cookie Monster’s son?

PS2. And remember in that one YouTube video you and I watched a while back, NPR Cookie Monster Interview with Elizabeth Blair:

Elizabeth: “If you were reincarnated as some other plant or animal, what would it be?”
Cookie: “A Snuffleupagus...”

Now If he were reincarnated as a Snuffleupagus, do you think he’d look something like the following. And BTW, I still agree with Cookie Monster that Bert’s head would look nice on the front of a new U.S. dollar bill.
