 This
month, the Studio 9.1 update will be available via download. One of the
exciting additions in this update is our new library of premium content to
which you will now have instant access. What is "Premium Content" you ask?
For starters, Content is anything you add to your home movie during the
editing process that enhances the viewing experience. Although free
libraries of content such as sound effects, transitions and DVD menus have
always come with Studio, we wanted to provide our customers the opportunity
to access content with a higher level of quality without breaking the bank.
Over the past year, we’ve sourced best-in-class or Premium Content from
Hollywood and our own labs, and our now making it available to you inside
Studio. We’ve also added a library of Premium Video and Audio Effect
Plug-Ins. What was once available at prices only Hollywood Studios could
afford, will now be available to you for as little as $14.99 per pack ($5.99
with bulk discount). In total you will have access to over 500 brand new
scene transitions, over 90 new audio and video plug-ins, 350 stereo wav
sound effects and 60 new DVD menus. All content has been designed in popular
themes like holidays, weddings, babies, sports and more. Each can be easily
previewed inside the Studio user interface before you make your purchase, so
you know exactly what you’re buying before you buy it.

Instant Access/Instant Gratification
We know how time-sensitive some of your projects can be. And sometimes, the
difference between a good and great home movie is adding that extra special
effect. Using our proprietary method of unlocking or enabling premium
content through virtual Activation Keys, you can access premium content
immediately after purchase. Purchasing activation keys and unlocking premium
content can be done in 3 easy steps:
STEP 1:
Find the premium content you wish to unlock. You can identify locked
"premium content" by the padlock image. You can preview content by simply
applying it to your movie. When previewing an effect, a visual watermark
will appear on video related content and an audio "beep" will be applied to
audio content.
STEP 2:
After you've decided on your content, click the "Click here to unlock"
image. Be sure you're connected to the Internet at this point. Studio will
launch a dialogue box that will confirm your selection. Click "Activate
now."
STEP 3:
A browser window will open. Simply complete the check out fields and submit
your order. Once finished, your selected premium content will instantly be
unlocked and ready for use. You'll also be given an activation key.
Activation keys can be used to unlock content if your purchase was made on a
different computer or if you ever have to reinstall.
How can I get this update?
Once available, you can download your free 9.1 update simply by going to the
Help menu inside Studio and clicking on “Software Updates”. Or, if you are
connected to the Internet, you’ll receive an instant message inside your
Studio Application letting you know the 9.1 patch is available for download.

Hollywood FX Mega.
Note for Premium Pack, Hollywood FX Plus, and
Hollywood FX Mega Users:
The content packs being made available for individual purchase and unlock in
the new Studio update are identical to the ones included in the
aforementioned products. Any creative option that's already been installed
into your Studio software by purchasing these products will already be
"unlocked" and available for use.
Pinnacle Systems has announced the availability of more than 1,000 premium
audio and video effects, scene transitions and DVD menus for its Pinnacle
Studio 9 home movie-making software. Widely known as plug-ins, these tools
add to the hundreds of standard transitions, filters and DVD menus already
included with Studio 9. Available online, the new premium plug-ins can be
purchased in theme packs of up to 16 plug-ins each or in larger packages
such as Hollywood FX Plus and Hollywood FX Mega.
